Hi; Jon;
Thanks for responding so quickly and getting this rolling. First impressions are we like the font but are confused about the brackets and what they mean/convey. We like the graphic quality that you have started with as well and the stacking of the letters.We are looking for more along the lines of a stylized take off from the letter "B" or swirl or swishes, that flow. Couldyou also add a golden yellow ochre version to this as well. Does that make sense? I hope this helps. Thank you very much.

b's and p's as ribbons.

Hi Jon; Ok the more we look at the first one the more we like it. You picked the correct yellow. We also like the new one you just did as well.The interplay of the B and the P is very cool. My wife is a pre press person and loves fonts. She is looking for a signature or decorative font that is unique and not over used. All in all we like both so far. We need to add to our post that we will need business card designs and banners and letterhead to be bid out as well with the winning logo.Hope this helps.

The above feedback is for mine i suppose?

barronda79
03-09-2006, 11:58 AM
Oh yes, my apologies, in my excitement I didn't notice that the second entry wasn't relevants.
Medigraph, yes that is the yellow I was thinking of. We like the idea as mentioned above of the b and p. We are not set on yellow, just wanted to see it, please feel free to try other combinations of colors and fonts.
thank you so much!

A few font alternatives and I tried a different layout to match with these fonts.

This is for Jon;
If you could go to the Tanya Crosby thread above ours and look at the way that they have used the silohouettes on the latest design. Could you incorporate a single silhouette between the brackets. We like the way the brackets are ascew and not aligned perfectly. Silohouetting was the first form of photography. Thank you

For Medigraph: We still like the clean graphic quality of version one, can you try other colors for us. We want to stay away from Nuptial scripts since that tends to conote wedddings which we don't do. Thank you. :D

Blesseville
03-10-2006, 12:09 AM
Thank you for the feedback, I thought you were looking for a script type font :) Here are cleaner fonts to show direction for color variations.

Medigraph; Thank you, we still like your first design better. The font is cleaner and the design is richer. Now, can you give us another alternative using something different. Thank you.

For Medigraph: Thank you, less aperture more typography keep them coming.

For Relevant, Please see our earlier replies and try adding a silohouette between the brackets for us and please add additional entries.

For all interested designers: Please jump in and give us your best shot, we are looking for some additional variety. Thank you

barronda79
03-10-2006, 06:01 PM
Relevant: Thank you very much, you gave us what we asked for,we have soaked it in and ask you leave these as is and work up one more completley different. Perhaps concentrating on the typography and interplay of the letters B and P.

Ruairi;
Thank you for the entry, we like it, this is more like what we were thinking, simple, clean and striking. Is there a way to perhaps bend the B and P to make it look more three dimensional?

barronda79

All; We just sweetened the project by adding additional funds of $100.00 for a business card design as well. The Help desk should be posting that update to this project soon. Please hold off posting anything for the business card design until the Help desk posts the additional funds and updates the project folder. Thank you.

Ruairi, thanks for contributing.. we like version 2 better than version 3. We are not crazy on the colors. Can you try something different, we are not stuck on yellow. Although we like the 3 dimensionality of version 3 it tends to reminds us of a bank logo.

All, another thought, could you try Barron on top, portraits on the bottom, maybe offset some, with a lighter B underneath. Maybe two different fonts with portrait being a casual script. Please bear with us this is a husband and wife team and we may have to duke it out to pick a design. :) thanks all.

Artemii Thanks for joining in! Version 1, not fond of the graphic.
Version 2, maybe, I'll have to think about it.
Could you try Barron on top in a funky, tall and skinny font with portraits underneath? Just trying to think of adifferent way to approach this to find something that is striking. Thanks for your time.

Alvin, thanks for joining in! It's interesting, could you try a different font for barron portraits?
Artemii, also could you try a different font on version 3.
Pracus, thanks for joining in! On the 3rd version, it has an old timey formal feel, could you try a more casual font with that basic design.
Thank you all for contributing, I really appreciate it. You guys are so talented!

Alvin, version 2 I like the way the R hooks up to the P. I like the B graphic but it is a little too girly, I guess, could we try something different with the B. I do like it scripty and flowy and pretty just not too pretty.(My husband has to like it too) Also some other colors, navy or blues?

Artemii, Could you, in version 4.1 use graduated grays say from 10% to 20% to 30% etc. Curious to see how that would look.

Pracus, I don't think we need any further revisions on this one. thank you so much
