Howdy!
I’m looking for a 5.5” X 8.5”, full color, double sided postcard. I will be using an online service for printing, so the format needs to be in JPG, TIF, EPS, or PDF. Feel free to use any stock photos that you have. We would like to have the project completed by 3/17/06; however, we may close the contest sooner, if the right design comes along!
We are a swimming pool service and maintenance company (we do not build pools).
Things I would like included:
The Pool Medic (company name)
XXX-XXX-XXXX (phone #)
Thepoolmedic.net (website is not ready yet)
Logo
Also, keep in mind that we will need our address on the backside.
Services I would like included
Weekly maintenance
Chemical checks
Major repair
Chemicals delivered
Please include the following:
No contracts
No prepayments
Visa & MaterCard logos
Coupon
½ off first months service
Good luck!!!

Welcome to Design Outpost, Poolmedic. I have a couple of questions regarding your postcard project:
1: Is you logo available in .EPS or .AI format?
2: Will the postcard be mailed? Do you require an address and stamp area?
Thanks

1: Is you logo available in .EPS or .AI format? Not sure, will that be a problem?
2: Will the postcard be mailed? Do you require an address and stamp area? Yes
Elkootcho- Your design # 5, will a 1”h X 2 5/8”w (Avery #5160) label fit in the address area?

Not having an EPS or AI file is fine. It would have been nice, but not a requirement. Also, the address area measures 4" wide x 2.5" high so there woud be ample room for that particular label.
I've attached a full-size, low-resolution PDF of the address panel that you can download and check for size.

Since this will be the first time I’ve ever had a postcard designed and then uploading to an online printing company I wanted to make sure that all goes well. I copied and paste the requirements for the printing company that I plan on using (gotprint.com).
We accept the following file format: .TIF, .TIFF, .EPS, .AI, .PSD, .JPG, .PNG & .PDF.
RESOLUTION:
All file formats must have a minimum of 350 dpi (dot per inch) resolution. Download Templates
The images designed for the web done at a low screen resolution of 72 dpi. Print images need to be created at 350 dpi or there will be a substantial drop in the image quality.
COLOR MODE:
All color artwork and/or images must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color mode.
BLEED:
Please build your press-ready digital files by adding 0 .1" dimension for business cards, postcards, rackcards, and add 0.125" for all other products

Those requirements should be no problem for any of the print designers here. My original file meets the posted requirements
