Hello,
We are a startup company and are looking for a design for a new product package. We want to get it out this year so we need to get this done soon.
We know that we are looking for something sharp and memorable. Other than that you have free reign. We don’t have a logo. But the two companies involved have websites feel free to use anything off of them.
• Sierra Diagnostics www.sierradiagnostics.com
• Scentrx Technologies www.scentrx.com
The product is called Scentrx
• …as in a Rx (medical prescription) for scent
• The product is a preservative additive that keeps hunting scents fresh for deer hunters. Check out our website www.scentrx.com for more info
We would like to emphasize
• The products medical background
• The products intended use in deer hunting
• The product will keep scent from breaking down.
• It’s the only one of its kind and its patented
We are not 100% sure on the text but want to include some of the following.
Front
• Scentrx™
• Deer Lure Additive
• Medically proven hunting technology
• Improves effectiveness and lifespan of all animal urine scents
• Works on urine, gland and natural scents
• U.S. Patent 6458546 other patents pending
Prevents
• Spoilage
• Ammonia build up
• Damage due to sunlight and heat
• 100% Money back guaranteed.
Back
• Majority will be a graph and some text.
• A Barcode
• Scentrx Technologies 1737 C Ashby Rd Merced CA 95348
I realize its kind of a weird product so if you have any other questions let me know. I will help in any way that I can.
Thanks
I am excited to see what you can come up with.

Sorry but we have decided to change the style of the package we are looking for. We decided the original peg board design is too plain for what we are looking for. And we decided to only include two 1ml vials rather than four. I think we changed it soon enough at too not mess anyone up too bad.
The new package design will still hang on a peg board however it will be 3w x 4h x 0.7d plastic oval tube.
I have included photos and a diagram of a rough prototype of a similar product package that I have inserted the 1ml vials into. This is the overall shape of what type of package we are looking for.
The plastic can be transparent in some areas and colored or tinted in others.
Inside of the package will be two 1ml vials. These can be made in different colors… so feel free to experiment with color schemes.
thanks
Brett

Can you tell use if there are any printing/design limitations on this package? What types of files does the printer prefer? Are halftones (ie photographs/gradients) acceptable or does the design require solid color/vector graphics?
Any design specs that you can get from your printer would be very helpful.
Thanks

Ok I have talked to our printer and they prefer that the design come in an .EPS File (PC Format) however to preview the file they want in a .tiff file (for preview only)
As far as printing there are no limitations. They can do gradients, halftones or solid printing, whatever looks best.
Thanks
Brett

Hello; here is a design for the front. Do you have the graph, text and barcode to be put on the back? Well, let me know if this is the right direction for your product. Also is there any information that needs to be placed on the vials themselves? Thanks!

Thanks Kekepania
I dont have the graph or the information as of yet. As for the design, we are looking for a more high tech (Medical) looking design. This one is good but dosent quite have the edge we are looking for. The hoof prints are kinda cool. Might be a good way to help explain what the product does.
Other thoughts..
We would like to incorperate a clear section on the front so that the customer could see parts or all of the the vials inside.
Could you extract the deer from the background..think it would give it a better look.
keep em comming
thanks
Hi Brett

Thanks Agustin
It looks good and I feel that we are heading in the right direction. I like the overall feel.
Couple of thoughts
-A white-tail deer (buck) needs to be used as the animal that is our primary market.
-The Scentrx font looks very cool. However the "t" is hard to read and I would like to try emphisiseing the "RX" at the end.
-Might try a bolder color?
thanks
.................................................. .....
Also, I need to give more concrete instructions for the text on the front.

100% Money back guaranteed.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone.
Imot
Revision on the name looks very good. So does the “New” banner
However I don’t think that color scheme is going to work. Maybe something brighter.

I like the medical look to your package. However I think that it looks a little to blocky.. Could you try something a little sharper with a larger window?
Fran
I really like the way the picture sort of fades into the background. However not crazy about the circle for the clear area or the color scheme.
Im really trying to get the “cool! What is that?” impulse buy reaction from the customer.
Thanks for all of your input and please keep them coming.
Brett
Hi Brett,

You got the bright part right but it might be too much(sorry). Could you try using the camouflage pattern and then adding in some blaze orange? Or other attention grabbing color.
Djaka
Thanks for your entry. I like the way your design seems to flow. A few requests though.
- The clear areas need to be bigger and more towards the center.
- “New” needs to be more obvious.
- The color needs to be different. Possibly a cammo style pattern with some bright areas.
thanks
Brett

Thanks everyone for your quality designs.
However the time has come to choose a designer, and I have decided to work with IMOT to finish up the package.
Thanks Again
Brett
Thanks Brett!!

Let me know if you have any aditional tweak

The only tweak that I need is the color scheme
Color Scheme
Everyone seems to prefer the all orange layout. Can you play with the orange in the layout a little? Brighter - Softer, Maybe throw in a little different color here and there.

Hi Imot
Sorry for the long delay I got busy on some other projetcts. The package kind of got put on the back burner. I think that the design is as close as we are going to get it. I can use photo shop pretty well so if you could send me the files on the 4 orange varations (preferbly with layers)
I can touch up any small stuff.
Thanks Again.
P.S. Have you been paid yet or do I need to send an email to someone? Thanks Again
Brett
Please send the files to [EDIT - removed]
