j10.com needs a logo >>prize $150 [Archive]

Hello artists.

I need a logo for my new portal site j10.com.

I would like it to include some sort of brandable icon along with the name "j10.com".
The type can be lower or upper case.

I prefer the colors orange and gray although I'm open to others.

I'm looking for a techie but fun kind of look and feel.

It will be used for web, print and possibly t-shirts.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I like the color combo but I'd like to see everything in the same font,
also I'm not too fond of the "overture" type graphic.

nothing is really jumping out at me yet.

I would like to see the same font used for the whole thing.

I don't like the letters overlapping. :P

Hi,

In your 1st post you mentioned you wanted a brandable icon, are you saying then that you want a symbol along with the text line J10.com?

And like Just_G mentioned a brief discription of what the site is all about would help.. :)

Yes 2square, I'm looking for a symbol along with the text.

I'm starting to get a little bit more clear with what I want, I hope this helps.

The text should be a techie type font but fairly plain
The symbol should be eye-catching but simple and easily recognizable.

The portal will be used for recommending internet marketing resources (i.e. hosting,
autoresponders, domain reg, designers, merchant accounts, etc.) sorry that I didn't
describe it more clearly in the beginning.

When I was thinking about a symbol that is recognizable I was thinking about logos like Apple, Dell, Lucent, things like that.
I hope this helps.

FTI your last one is definitely going in the right direction, clean and simple. I like the layout
of the one on top. Can you work with the icon a bit, it looks a little too much like TARGET's logo (the store).
I do like that it is simple though

But I like where you're going.

The only other one that jumps out at me so far is Just-g #1.
