Tons and tons of logo design needed. I've visited this site in the past and always wanted to give it a try, so now that my schedule demands such lets do this.
Straight to the point, the logo requirements are as follows;
A Two or Three Color, (white can be a color), dont worry about stationary mockups or business card mockups I'll handle that in-house. The logo should be clean and articulate of education and corporate. The old saying is that the bigger the logo the smaller the company and I believe thats true. So the logo should look good at various sizes including SMALL.
The logo must say: TNT Global.com
and should say: Technology ‘N Training – Your Portal to Success
They are very very adimate about including a globe of the world by the TNT somewhere.
Please keep in mind I'll have to do the flash to make that very globe spin somewhere on the website.
I've uploaded some stock ones I had from various sources for your review of the objective with the globe.

ThatOneGuy is this what you were after?
After My phone call with Abby, maybe this will help.
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Must say: TNT Global.com must have a globe and you can use stock items. I'm after a globe that I could closely emulate and have my Flash guy make the client a spinning globe for the site.
What type of product or service do you offer?
The clients product is essentially online training aids for companies and individuals who cant afford paying tons of money to learn basic applications in their offices.
How long have you been in business?
The client is a new venture having done product training for Dell computers he wants to go out on his own and have his own site. Our designers were chosen to do the PHP / and ASP.NET development including the template design but the logo would take a few days we just can't spare.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
They want to convey an image of corporate training!
What are your long term goals?
To get rich! No seriously, they want to bootstrap this little venture and have it grow globally. (the story of every website owner) So the design should really be as simple as the big companies. He's just adimate about the globe being a major part becuase someone sold him on the idea of a spinning globe for the webiste. So I'll do the FLASH in house
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? It was due yesterday in fact.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Small companies and schools and government offices that need to be brought up to speed on things like Adobe Photoshop or InDesign or even MS Office. The audience is really self paced learners.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Not joking a bit when I say they want to go global and do training in many languages.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Corporate education is the fundamental. The color scheme and the layout are up to the designer. Keep in mind that it SHOULD NOT be a real complex logo because it would not look good in small print or even published in other forms of media like on the surface of a disk or a coffee cup (theoretically of course.) The only concern I had is the client asked our designers if we could emulate the look of www.consource.org as far as historical and look of importance.

crafty work and fast, thanks Bart.
Would a collection of stock globes help. I'm thinking that although illustrative isn't the goal I still know he is going to ask for a globe "mapped" in the logo somewhere. Maybe focus more on the education aspect of the logo like graduation cap with globe etc..... Does this help?

Jared. I can and will redesign this for you using a globe o fsome kind with the maps. We are not allowed to use any kind of stock clipart that you may have.

ThatOneGuy: Thanks, that would be ideal.
Medigraph: Clever work, love the colors, nice job, let me expand a tad in this direction.
Here is an Idea! After a bit more thought I realize that some emphasis on education would push this to conclusion.
Not that globes aren't important but If a person were to look at the ultimate or final logo I ask..... Would they draw the conclusion of its online educational nature?

Ok, sorry for the delay on feedback, had this been my project I wouldn't keep you hanging like this.
I've sent images to the project owner at TNT Global and "Should!", hear from him today.... :D
Beautiful work thus far, I'll post again today on any directional design tuning and alterations.

REVISIONS REQUEST!
First I want to thank everyone for spending time on this. I appreciate your work and will certainly use Design Outpost again.
Ok, I've waited way toooooo long for this guy to look at what you people have come up with to give an ounce of direction. Apparently he lacks such professionalism that I'm basically burnt for the logo expense unless I turn a lemon into something close to lemonaide.
So.............. Since the owner of TNTGlobal looks to be out of his league in every thing but a closely supervised structured environment, I am going to use one of these logos myself in order to salvage a benefit from what has been invested and compete with him by matching every course they publish with a free version on the same subject.
What I'll ask in a revision is this. I've started a collaborative online open-source tutorial site for free tutorials with a half dozen developers and designers and if you would be willing to simply change the name to "Open Source U" or "Open Source University" I'll pick a design. the domain is located at http://www.opensourceu.org and I hope to have the first 50 or so tutorials uploaded this weekend.
If you feel a change would be in order to better articulate an open source feel to one of your logos I'd even be happier.
The central theme is Open Source Training.
I like the graphics on every one of these designs, its the message that has changed for us.
So the ultimate verbage would be as follows;
Open Source University
"Where knowledge is shared"
Eager to get this wrapped up. Again, thanks.

If we can somehow articluate the "O" in OPEN I think give my time frame to get this live we can conclude this today. At first glance we almost thought it read PEN SOURCE
Also, If you were to use a smaller font for "university" but adjust its kerning width, how would that look.

Ok medigraph, lets role with it, a few revisions as soon as my partner gets back from lunch but we can cover that in the revisions area.
Thanks sincerely to everyone else.

Medigraph; Ok, I guess Tony looked at it from the little cyber cafe down the street and just sent me a text message stating as follows;
"J, the first concept with a larger globe looks good is there a way to keep the boldness of the globe and still have the last design feature"
I'm guessing what he is saying is that in #14 above the globe is nice and big. I'm not sure if its possible but Tony thinks that we lose the nicest part of your design which is the Globe and Cap if we go with the latest revision.
Any thoughts on this?

Well I agree with you, however in order to make all parties happy, maybe we can combine two concepts in such a way:

Beautiful, lets use what you have, I'll alter colors later myself after I decide on a template scheme.
Last: Since I had planned to run the map behind a mask to give the illusion of motion do you have the map (or a map) of the globe in a flat contenental layout? What I mean to clarify is the whole world in terms of a world map you could send with the logo? My idea is to make the logo spin if I decide to turn your design into a flash file.
FYI... How I normally create spinning globes is to simply create a round layer mask and move the image behind it with a repeat. Add a little shine, a little shadow, and you end up with a spinning globe. This I can do now that you have assembled this.
I dont know how to free funds so I'll leave that to Abby. Thanks for your work, its most appreciated.

Well, I don't have such a full map, but maybe you can find some from the earlier examples you have shown, by decompiling the swfs. I'm packing these now, and will include EPS, High-Res/Low-Res JPGs and PNGs. Do you need other formats? If so please let me know.
