Hi Guys,

Need help in developing a new identifiy for a kids boutique store called "cute kids boutique"....

The logo should be :
- fun
- whimsical
- fashionable
- not gender based (i.e.// not to boyish, or girlish)
- elegant
- colourful
- simple, YET FUN!
- creative
- childish
- kid friendly

We sell:
- upscale children's accessories (mirros, lamps, etc)
- furniture
- safety items
- market exclusively to canadians (maybe highlight this somehow?)
- more items to expand ot later.

We will feature the logo on:
- website
- physical storefront
- business cards, invoices, and much more.

Like I said above, i'm looking for something fun, elegant, simple, and child friendly. Should be something that mother can like, and something that the kids can find "fun"....

I'm looking to see some great submissions - and I'm sure this can be fun for everyone...

This is well over my 10th project on here, so I hope to have another great result!

Not a bad start - I like the font you used V2 - and the ladybug isn't bad... I would like the logo to convey something a little more "upscale"... and elegant though.

THe colours work great - just want to make it a little bit more "fancy"....

Thanks for your quick submissions! I'm not that fond of the first one, the colours are a little "too bland" (too pastel), and the logo is a little too much...looking for something a little bit simpler......

I do like your version two though, can you try it with "bolder" colours, not pastels.... Also, can you embellish the star in the middle significantly and give it some substance....

Hi Paul -

Your V1 - i absolutely love it - I like your colour selection, and I especially like the typeface you have chosen. However, i'm not that fond of the table lamp - could we try somethign different here?

Maybe, instead of an iconic image (i.e// the table lamp) can you just put some kind of "fancy border" around the text you have? Something very elegant... i hope you know what i mean...

I absolutely love the type / text and i think it could possible stand on it's own, with a nice "oranate" border type thing (i hope oyu know what i'm talking about!).

Here's an idea which is both fun and has the elegance and "up market" fell you desire in the communication of the logo.
(It's still in the process of being finished, yes the letter S needs to be added ;))

Thanks for your great revisions - I like your "version 3" in the design with a border (the first border design you made).... Looks very nice and elegant...however, i would like to see one more thing.

With your version one above (The first one - with the table lamp) my wife really likes it.... However, could you try to change the table lamp to something else more "universal" (i.e..// i'm goign to be selling more than just decor...)... Maybe a picture of a boy / girl, or something kiddish....

Hi Guys - thank you all for your designs - they are absolutely great....Reviews follow:

NHR: I really like what you did here - elegant, yet youthful... Not sure if i'd change anything at all. But im' definately open to seeing another concept. I raelly do like this one though.

TITANIA: Not bad - but i'm not that fond of cats nor the cat design. I also think the text could be a little more elegant..I do like it in the black and white version.... but i don't really think this is the direction i want to go... lookign for a little bit more simplicity.

BLUECHERRYGRAPHICS: Hi jennifer, You're V3 looks nice. However, i still prefer the "ladybug" version up top.

FRAN: wow - lots of versions. I love your V1 - I love the way you stylized the boy / girl - can you try and see what it would look like without the yellow backgroudn on the text? You're V2 - a little "too fancy" - and reminds me too much of something you'd see on a clothing line. You're V3 isn't bad, but not the direction i want to go. I really like your V4 as well - can you higlight the flower (on top of the "i") a little bit more, make it more "pronuced" and flower like?

FABIAN: The colours are too light, and i'm not that fond of the rainbow smile. Again, not the direction i'm looking to go. But again, I'm totally receptive to seeing something in another direction.

BOJAN: I like it - very "cute" yet elegant.. However, ti's a little "bold" - can you tone down the boldness of the liens a little bit, and maybe try a different more elegant font?

I really like these two revisions - 1C and 4C - no more changes. THis is going to be such a hard decision!

I really like this one - very "whimsical" , yet it still remains elegant. My wife likes it too - which is always nice :) Could you perhaps try incorporating the elf into the words "Cute Kids" somehow? either sitting ontop of a letter, make him/her a letter, just to se what it's like?

TALDO: Not to bad - very nice and simple - however, is it possible to make it a little bit more childish? The different "boxes", would it be possible to put some sort of picture in some of the boxes..maybe kids, furniture, toys, etc?

DJAKA: Not to bad - but, not entirely the direction i'm looking to go. Looking for something a little bit more fun.

PAULA: I love your version 6 - very nice, and entirely the direction i was trying to go. No more changes with this one. You're other version are great too - but let's stick with #6 since it's definatly my favourite.

Thanks for your input - You know, i really do like this. I like the elegance and youthfullness of the design. Can you do me a favour though, for the colours, can you somehow incorporate more "black" into teh design...someone make the colours a littel darker?

PAULA:

You are still definately near teh top of the pack with this one - i really like it. Can you try one last variation? Instead of the two kids (on on each side), can you try to put something a little "whimsical" ..... Keep the same text / font, and colour, just a whimsicial somethign instead...making some kind of farry character, not sure...

TITANIA:

I still really like what you've done with the design - can you as well try some colours which are a little "darker" , yet still "kidish". I wouldn't even mind seeing some black in there.

PAULA: Can i just see one more variation - can you work ith V11 - but put the "fairy" on top of the text (instead of the side).

Also, as a second varation, also "on top" in the middle, but can you make the fairy's legs somehow go between the words cute and kids?

Thanks for all your help - this was a VERY difficult choice - but i have decided to go with one of fran's designs.

Fran - can you give me a couple more colours based on:

1. The first design in 1G (diff shades of blue).

2. The middle design in 1H (diff shades of red).

Looking for something which isn't "too gender based" (i..e// no pinks), something netural..maybe also try some green's?

I like the orange one - not to bad - but i'm torn between the orange, and the red one in the design above..

Can we incorporate one more element into the design?

The site will cater exclusively to Canada - therefore, i wouldn't mind a "maple leaf" somewhere in hte picture...maybe between the two heads? maybe between the words "cute and kids"....just a small maple leaf......

Can you also show me a version with the words "Canada" in smaller font under the word boutqiue?
