Company / Logo Name: Intranet Innovation Awards
Deadline: Monday, June 12th
Award: $200
Company Background:
The Intranet Innovation Awards are a new initiative to be launched
by Step Two Designs (www.steptwo.com.au), a vendor-neutral consultancy
recognised as a global thought-leader on intranet strategy and
design.
These awards will have a global reach, and the competition will
partner with firms in the UK, US, and Europe. There will be
considerable publicity regarding the awards, both to highlight
the launch, and when the award winners are announced.
What we hope to accomplish with new logo:
This is the first year that the awards will be run, so we want
to present a professional but high-impact image. The logo should
be immediately recognisable, and should generate further interest
in the competition.
Where logo will be used:
* competition website
* published reports (print and PDF)
* award trophies (specific type to be determined)
Logo Requirements / Design Concept:
Our primary corporate colour is Pantone Orange (021 CVU),
and this should be used as a *highlight* element in
the design. We don't have any specific preference for
the other colours used in the design.
The logo *must* be reproducable in black-and-white (and
a design sample must be provided), as the logo may be
etched onto a trophy or plaque. Similarly, the design
should not be too complex, and must reproduce clearly
when etched into a metal or glass surface.
The logo must present the following image:
* innovation
* professionalism
* modern
It should present a strong professional image, while
being interesting and innovative. A modern font should
be used for the lettering (this does not need to match
the existing corporate fonts).
The words "Intranet Innovation Awards" should obviously
be used in the design.
Some design element illustrating the concept of
"innovation" should feature in the design.
Tagline or Slogan:
None.
Competitive Positioning:
There is one other intranet award run by the Nieslen/Norman Group (www.nngroup.com),
but they have absolutely no design sense at all. So we don't consider them
to be a real competitor in terms of developing this logo.
---
Please do ask for any further information required, and we will
respond promptly with feedback to the draft designs.
