A church youth group design?

I was asked to create a cms for a church youth group and they somehow thought that the content meant design as well. Sad to say, but I am horrible at designing, those who have talked to me before (Palmer ;)) know that I don't have the designers "keyboard thumb".

I have sat down with these ministers and helped them come up with some ideas on what the site should look like but I know I will not be able to create the ideas that we have decided on.

How should I put the layout up here? Should I make a big .gif file and post it?

Anyone interested in doing this?

The best way is to put it on your server and use the IMG button to make it show up.

Yes, that I understand, but what would be the best way for the designers to get the idea of the look I am going for? Draw it up as best as possible in Photoshop?

You could do that, link us to sites with similar looks or just simply explain what you need.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this. Here is a description (as best I can) of what the church is looking for.

The design will consist of four parts:
A top bar
A middle section
A right bar
and A bottom bar

The top bar would have a few navigation options.
The middle bar consists of 3 pictures that are black and white and on mouseover change images. There will be three footer words (one below each image).

The right bar will be a quick info guide for the church (details on how to get there, services, contact numbers).

The bottom bar will be more links.

Basically they want something clean that attracts college age students. I was thinking a grey and red design might look good (since our college colors are black and scarlet). Anyway, I may be able to post some more info up if anyone needs it. Please take your time on this, there is no rush.

Yep, still need a design. I put this on the back burner because I figured everyone was swamped but if you can get something for me that would be great! :D

Well I finally have a small window of free time so I'll get working on it. It shouldn't take that long.

I haven't forgotten about this. Just been really busy. It's hard working 9 hour days and still have time to do design work. I'll work on something a little later tonight. If it's not ready tonight, then I'll have something to you saturday.

I am probably going to have use a logo that one of their students designed and I am pretty sure it is fairly large. Is there any way to maybe get rid of the red bar at the top and put the logo up there with a black space below it to separate it from the top menu?
