[Project Complete] Logo Design for South Coast Shopping - $300

Hi Everyone!

We are very excited about your ideas and creativity in a new logo.

We are looking for a logo for a new retail e-commerce site. The name is South Coast Shopping and the web of course, www.southcoastshopping.com.

We want the logo to be inviting so an individual will want to come in for the shopping experience. Our market has been across all age groups, male and female, in the US and internationally. Realize that there is always a South Coast anywhere in the world.

We do not have a pre-determined image or icon in mind and would prefer as much creativity as possible.

We pride ourselves on quality and customer service since we feel that our customers are not just purchasing a product from us but also our service including extermely fast shipping. Our products range from elegant to middle to a few clearance items.

Any colors can be used but there are always certain "buy" colors to focus on. Logo can be Standard or Illustrative.

What first comes to mind when you see South Coast Shopping?

Tonya... we like the font and layout of the wording. The palm tree however, may not work since there are south coasts in the north. For example, the south coast of the UK. Although a palm tree looks inviting for many it may not have a universal appeal to it.

Also, we may like a script font. We had purchase this font style, BodegaSerif-LightOldstyle and like it. If you need the font we can attached the file. I'm sure there are others we are not aware of.

Medigraph...the shopping bag doesn't add an amount of elegance and the font too plain and small relative to the picture. Reference our notes to Tonya for some of our additional thoughts.

We like the idea! A little too postage stamp like. Can it be opened up more?

Also, may the sky is too dark or needs to white with darker letters. How about different color combinations?

Here are some of the changes you requested. I went to see if I could download the font family you requested and it was really expensive! :blush:

I changed the color of the sky, and tried to create a version of the logo that was less boxy, or postage stamplike.

The back ground may be too busy; want South Coast Shopping to stand out a little more. Try our font. Could you try different color combinations? That's not saying we don't like the colors now. The first one is not what we are looking for but thanks for letting us know that is the first thing that comes to mind when hearing the name shopping. That's important to us.

The second one is clever using the form for the S. To us it looks a little too much on the industrial side. Maybe it's too heavy. Please try a lighter look.

Thank you for the updates. Version 8 is too spread out without the shopping on a second line. Our font on version 9 is a little too tall. Version 4 is the best font except for the letter C. It needs to close just a little more. We like the shopping font different from South Coast as you have it. Keep your ideas coming!

Thank you for the update. We still like version 11 the best with some miner tweaks. The lighter color fading at the ends of the waves are nice and we like that. Can that also be done in the black and white? The waves are just a little too close to the wording but not by much. It looks a little too crowded, especially in black and white. The size and placement of the word shopping is better in version 11. With those changes added please do another with the same color as version 11. Also, with the same changes and fading colors, do another with colors 281, 124, 1945. Thanks!

Update added:

We've been looking at version 11 and comparing it to version 12. We like the waves better in version 12 but with the colors in version 11. Just darken the colors and fade them as you did in version 11. Also, as mentioned above, the waves are just a little too close to the wording.

Hi Paula,

Thanks for the updates. We should have been a little more specific on the waves. We like the waves on version 12 with the A, B, C, D (there are two versions 12), Message #96. It's the the third wave (bottom one) that is the best. That third wave on version 11 has too much of a hook on the left side. Also, the third wave on version 12 is longer and extends to the right under the second p in shopping. We like that too. Except for the third wave we don't see to many differences between versions 11 and 13. Once the third wave is changed, we'd like to see your lor combination darkened o few shades. One other idea is to have the third wave lighter than the second wave or just reverse the colors between the second and third waves.

Forget the colors we requested on version 14.

Version 15 is nice with two waves but we are leaning towards three waves. Let's try one wave too.

The word SHOPPING is fine on the right side (letter G) but still too much over (letter S) from the left edge of the letter C in Coast. In other words SHOPPING is completely under the word Coast and not beyond.

We have now noticed the word SHOPPING also needs to be dropped down a little from the word Coast.

Version 3: can you try different blues in the same PMS 6xx series with the green at PMS 325 and PMS 326. Also please smooth out the left side edge of the outer circle just a little; not sure yet, need to see it. We do like what you are trying to do with the circle there.

So close. Look carefully at backside of the outer circle in version 9. It is closer to the the bottom part of the letter S; in other words the back side of the outer circle is just a little longer. Extend that like it is in version 9 to version 13. Also on the outer circle, the outer part of of it seems not symmetrical; the outer edge of the outer cirle on the right is a little too thick. Jennifer,

Thank you for the latest update. We like it. One last adjustment is the outer circle on the left side needs have better arc...like the middle circle does. In other words, the outer edge of the outer circle on the left side needs to look like the outer edge of the middle circle on the left side. The outer edge of the outer circle is not symmetrical when compared to the outer edge of the middle circle on the left side. Please change.

That's the result of the previous requests you've made. I have changed it here to an exact duplicate of the outer left edge of the middle ring, but it will be less smooth (since I smoother the outer edge of the left ring at your request earlier).
