I am launching an online pet boutique. The store will offer high end accessories mostly for large breed dogs. Some items will be available for smaller dogs ie. "froo froo" dogs, but mostly large breeds. In addition to collars, beds, dog dishes we will offer health and wellness products i.e. natural shampoos, organic flea/tick products and must haves for dog safety i.e. seat belts, life preservers.
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? The name. MyGiftedDog.com
What type of product or service do you offer?
High end pet boutique items. Bowls, collars, beds etc.
How long have you been in business?
Planning on fall launch.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I want a cute logo that will be great on marketing and promotional items. Something eye catching that could look good on tote bags, mugs etc.
What are your long term goals?
Build a profitable online business and perhaps open a retail store.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
July 21
Audience Profile:
Who would you like to add to your audience?
This will be for average family dog – mom, dad and kids; DINKS and single women.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Simple. Fun. Fashionable but not too glitzy or ostentatious. More conservative yet fun.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)Mint or yellow. Those are just colors that I have had in mind. I want neutral but not plain khaki. NOT hot pink. That is not our look. I want a man to be willing to shop here for his dog.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Nothing specific but a cute non descript cartoon dog somewhere in there.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Service. Quality.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Work in progress. Where the family dog shops. All dressed up and ready to fetch. Nirvana for Dogs.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Good quality products. Top service. Big variety. Unusual items.
Where will your new logo be used?
Web site. Packaging. Tote bags and mugs.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
www.thepamperedpup.com It is just a paw and Palm trees. It is ok, not very original.
www.dogmacatma.com It is cute. It is a dog and cat on a heart name tag. Original.
www.barkavenue.com Shopping bag with BA on it. It is OK
www.pawpalaceonline.com A crown over the name. Not very original.
www.metropawlispetboutique.com Much more original. Simple. Nice.
www.barkleysmarket.com Very cute and very original. I like it a lot.
www.mutropolis.com Very clean. Fun. Can be for a little dog or big dog.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Service. Quality. Health products/environmentally sound products.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
My dog is my best friend or our dog is one of the family.
