The Pet Tutor is a dog training business with several services including group classes, private lessons, board and train, potty training, etc.

I've been in business 2 years and am gaining alot of recognition in my area. I'd like a catchy looking logo with the text in a darker red. I've been using a Comic Sans font but am willing to look at others.

I am seeking a design that incorporates the business name with dogs around it, on it or as a part of it. Dogs only.

This logo will be used on all branding items, magnetic signs, business cards, website, etc.

Deadline: July 25, 2006

Good start, although I am seeking something more cutsy (cartoony) with the dogs. Would prefer not to have the bars across. The font to be more like the comic sans - as I use it alot on the website. I have also used paws inside the O of Tutor in the past and still like that idea. Just throwing it out there.

I'd also like to add "Training Pets, Educating Pet Owners" as the motto I've used since the beginning. Possibly, under the logo itself, in black text. I hope this gives a clearer picture, I apologize for not being more descriptive.

What about something like this?

I like the text. I'd like to see the paws stand out more - maybe black? Not comfortable with the dog, seeking something maybe training related. Maybe dog with graduation cap, or diploma or doing a walking on leash. Or the dog could be inside the text using its body as part of the name - not sure if that works in this situation.

Hi Paula 23,
I really, really like this design. I only have one concern and that is if potential clients can figure out the company name. It is obvious to me but I wonder if it is obvious to someone that has not seen the name of the company before. Is there any way to make it more obvious?

Also, can you put a small "TM" at the end of the tag line? It is in the process of being trademarked.

Paula,
On Version 2, could we try changing the color of "Pet and the text below to a little darker brown? On version 3, can we do the same? The text "pet tutor" to be blue like version 2.

Also, with either version can we have the dog doing something different with his arms? He has them crossed which is a negative body posture or maybe he can be holding a rolled up diploma?

Again, I really like this design, just need to tweak a couple of these things.

Medigraph,
This one just isn't working for me. The dog is similar to the "scooby doo" character. I want it to be fun but also a bit professional at the same time. Maybe a different font all together and not the Comic Sans. Something a bit more squared like Arial?

Here is a revised dog :)
To keep the dog resembling a "T", I thought the dog shouldn't have any more width than necessary below the head.
I'll be happy to make the dogs arms doing something different if you want..

I'd like to move up the deadline and declare Version 5 of Paula 23 the winner. Can a deadline be moved up? I'm in a pickle. I've been invited to an very public event and would like to have the logo complete.

No modifications required. I like it just as it is!
Do you know the file type used for embroidering a logo? I don't know but was hoping that would be in the package as well.

Thank you so much!!

Hi,
Your files are ready.
The file needed for embroidery is a .dst file.
That is usually done by the embroiderer.
I gave you a high resolution file of the logo as black and white line art. They will use that to program the embroidery .dst file.
A private message has just been sent to you with instructions on downloading your files.
Please go to the following link to find the message http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/private.php?
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks Again,
Paula
