Hi all,
In the process of rebranding a division and looking for a new logo to reflect the following:
CTI Labs - What do we do?
Design, supply and support software applications that links telephone systems and data applications (computer telephony integration CTI), benefiting our customers through increasing efficiences and improving customer service by provding multimedia choices. Supply comprehensive IVR solutions to a variety of markets to improve call queues. Developed and supplied speech recognition for self service. Offer SMS services for inbound and outbound campaigns.
The design itself should be clean and corporate in feel yet be eye catching. We are keen to distance ourselves from our existing divisions (see http://www.ipintegration.com) however feel free to use purple if the mood takes you!
The logo needs to be supplied in all formats for print, or for use on garments etc and any applicants should think about the use of the logo for every day items such as faxing or photocopying etc.
I look forward to seeing the designs shortly.
Thanks
Dan

Hi all,
Sorry for the delay, ommited to tell you all that I was out of the office for an extended period.
Initial feedback as follows:
Ratbaggy - Sorry but this desont do anything for me. I like the global presence but the graphical element doesn't tie in with what we do particularly.
Vertlime - Like the design but not keen on cogs/gears I think that they are over used in general. Can you please change the colour and maybe alter the gears/cogs to something else?
Vertlime - The globe thing doesnt really do it for me.
BlueCherryGraphics - Sorry this seems far too bland and flat for our liking.
Medigraph - Like the innovative use of the letters however it looks to simple for our directors liking. Could you use them in a different manner to relate to what we do?
Gig - Love the concept of taking many different components and making one whole solution. Could we see some designs in different colours and try and lift the design in terms of it current looks flat on a page?
Senter - really like the next design however it is a little too far out. Like the concept of linking together (which I think is what you were indicating during design?) but would like to see it more cleary portrayed.
DraganB - sorry dont really like either, it looks to me more like a manufacturing operation rather than software on the graphical element.
All I appreciate that the design is required to be unique however we are a microsoft centric organisation and really like the way they carried through the windows element of the logo. I think this could work well for us moving forward, small boxes or elements coming together to make a bigger box or solution?
I look forward to the revisions soon.
Thanks
Dan

Further to my last email in terms of design concept and graphical elements:
1. We are a software house, think new bright innovative.
2. We like many elements linked or combining into one.
3. I would like to see imaginative use of graphical elements, illustrating different media into one box etc?
Thanks

Dan,
What exactly DOES CTI Labs do?
In addition to to your personal preferences regarding logo (which you've stated), some information about target audience, business and future objectives etc would be helpful. Have you seen the Logo Assessment/Questionnaire?

Firstly thankyou to you all for such a quick response to my last feedback.
I have discussed this with our Sales & Marketing Director and would like to offer the following feedback:
Senter
Version 2: Thanks like the concept but leaves us feeling like we may have holes in our solutions? Also makes us think of warehousing or storage rather than solutions.
Version 3: Love the idea, however we have four different media types so could the illustration be altered to reflect four boxes and could the font and colour be changed. We like the difference between CTI and Labs but not keen.on the font.
Medigraph
Version 2: Love the idea and thought process but it isnt clear how the elements tie together to make up the letters? Could you please think about making it a little clearer and look at other colours?
nhr
Version 1: Like the concept but left us feeling that the logo would be better positioned for a media company. Could you ties this in with what we do more clearly http://www.ipintegration.com
Thanks
Dan

Dan ...
I can't help but read your feedback and see that perhaps this project is headed in the wrong direction.
The more information you can provide about your business, the objectives of both the business and the logo used to identify the company, your target audience, your communication strategy with that audience, and ... how the success of a logo/identity will be measured, the more ALL designers will be able to respond to those objectives, which in turn delivers you a successful, meaningful, and well-targeted outcome.
Without it we are just taking wild stabs in the dark.
I look forward to learning more about CTI Labs and what drives it as a business.
Cheers,
Paul
