I am looking for something a little simpler and a little more modern. Line art type idea. Thanks!

Hi - I wanted to elaborate. I like the cabin icon - maybe have it be a little simpler. Don't like the cursive writing in the first one and the second one's font is a little staid, but better than the cursive. Thanks for doing these so quick!!

Wow great response on this job. Thanks for the enthusiasm.

I think that #6 is getting closer, I'd like to see the icons with no holding shape. The simple shape of a cabin will be interesting unto itself. Less fine-line to the icon no holding shape. see "cabin reference urls below to reference what a "cabin may look like to us"

#7 The iconographic direction of the cabin is the right idea. I would also leave the holding shape off, As far as the design of the icon, the cabin is looking very olde school houseish, http://i1.trekearth.com/photos/806/enid.jpg
this isn't good. Save that icon though because sooner or later a old schoolhouse antique shop will want a new logo. go more into a direction like this: (what a cabin/vacation home looks like to us)

Hi - I was looking at other logos on designoutpost. There is something a little too formal about what I have seen here (my brother is also commenting, so you have lots of input). I really like the tone of the Katrina and beyond - Design Idea # 1. It seems creative and not stock. What I've seen here so far seems a little formal. It is really hard to descirbe this sort of thing. But, I have this idea of a more curvy cabin logo and the words cabincare flowing into one another in an integrated logo/company name design. I also would love to pick up the midnight blue colors in our website template - www.gliddendrive.com. Hope this helps.

Blue Cherry-
can you take the logo from #12 and mock it into the attched screenshot of the template we are using for our website? We are having a hard time imagining the colors in context.....

And a color alternative to match it with your template.

Hi,

You're right about the original colors; they won't work.

Here is the first of two alternatives; this one matches the yellow/orange tones of the template.

BlueCherryGraphics

This is another option where we use white for the website and then a dark orange for print.

Hi - thanks, but I would like to see the logo as big as the Bed & Breakfast - i.e. running horizontally across the Webpage. I'm a little leery using yellow in the logo - yellow doesn't always turn out that well with sineage, etc. Could you try replacing the yellow with the midnight blue that is in the background of the cabin?

Thanks for all of your work - I think we're getting there!!

Hi all - We have gotten some great design ideas so we will be closing the bidding for this project at midnight on July 26. Submit any last ideas. The winner will also get a lot of print media business from us. We will need our website put together ( copy is written), a 3 color brochure, business cards, envelopes, stationary, invoices, etc. We are going to be looking at a fairly quick turn-around for these things as we want to launch mid-August.

Blue Cherry - One last request for you. Could you take the first logo (Message #12 in thread) that you did for us - with the cabin on top, replace the green with the midnight blue in the last logo you did, and do a mock-up of the website like was done in message #27 and 29? Thanks!

Hi,

This is that image, but if we do that, the brown is going to blend w/ the background.

?

OK-
this has been an overwhelming experience, we can't believe how much interest in this contest we've recieved. We will be wrapping up the contest early, and we will pick a winner Friday by EOD. Winner needs to be free to crank out the print materials and customize the template we bought from template outpost.

Your availability will help us decide the winner, so reply and tell us what availability and timelines you could adhere to for making the mentioned print materials in the project description. We also would like a designer that could customize the website template.

Cheers,
John & Jenny  :P

Per private message:

1. Three color tri-fold brochure. The type is written and we will supply photos.
2. Stationary - i.e. business cards, letterhead, stationary, postcard

I could do first drafts of stationery by Monday. Postcard by Monday/Tuesday.

First drafts of brochure by Tuesday/Wednesday.

Logo files, as I stated, could be turned around almost immediately if I'm online when you decide.
