Company Background:

Herbalist expanding practice to include home visits for herbal foot treatments:

Description of Services:
In the privacy and comfort of your home, your relaxing one hour herbal foot treatment begins with an aromatic soak in an herbal infusion. After soaking for 10 minutes your feet will be wrapped in a luxurious towel. A selection of herbal oils, infusions, music, and aromas are offered to provide the desired focus and mood.
While you relax to music of your choice, your feet will be anointed with essential oils, and you will be treated to a relaxing half-hour foot massage using herb infused oils. Your feet will then be wrapped in a castor oil pack or Swedish bitters poultice to absorb and rest for 10 minutes. The finishing touch to your herbal foot treatment is a final anointing with essential oils after the pack/poultice is removed, leaving you relaxed and refreshed.

Part hydrotherapy, part aromatherapy, part reflexology, entirely relaxing, your herbal foot treatment will leave you walking on clouds. I bring everything but the water!

What we hope to accomplish with new logo:

We would like a logo that will provide easy recognition of the service offered through its image;

a logo that will convey an expectation of relaxation, healing, positive energy richness, security and welcome, comfort, and cared-for; inclusion of therapeutic herbs/ botanicals would be interesting to see, but not a requirement.

a logo that will work well on business cards, letterhead, coupons, flyers and future webpages.

One use of the logo will be on one side of a two-sided business card. The reverse side of the card is for an existing related business with its own logo – sample of Herbalist card attached.

Logo Requirements

Colors / Design Concept:

Would like to see a professionally executed version of current logo, would also like to see other ideas for logo design.
Elegant, simple, clean lined sophisticated depiction of soles of feet/foot - include energy lines (see draft sample of Sole Work business card).
Depict foot sole as soft, rounded, full.
Logo that would look well on various backgrounds/colors depending on its use (eg – letterhead, gift certificates, etc).

Logo in format that allows color to be changed on a home computer (eg- Photoshop) depending on where it is used (eg, may print metallic gold on business card and purple on letterhead)

Font used in future card and texts will be simple, clean lines (such as Papyrus used in our sample Sole Work card), and will be a font in the public domain so that it is not necessary to purchase a font.

Logo to be provided in multiple formats for future use, eg - business cards printed by Vista Print (requirements attached).

Thanks for your design. Your idea is interesting - the leaf shape is clever. I like that it is clean and simple. I like the colors, although I am not sure I will use a white background so I am not sure how they will work on colored background. The name of my business is Sole Work (not Herbal Foot Therapy Practice). Perhaps the larger text could be Sole Work and the smaller text below the line could be "Herbal Foot Therapy." And, maybe the "S" in Sole Work could mirror the shape of the foot. The only element not included is something to indicated energy/movement. I would like to see something with an energy element (energetic healing). While I like the text, the submission does not need to include text. I am primarily interested in the graphic image.

Thank you for the feedback, below is a revision. I used your businesscard color for a darker background with another color scheme. It may be possible to use two color schemes one for darker and one for lighter backgrounds.

Thanks to eziey and Medigraph for their submissions. I am pleased to see your ideas. I like the way eziey incorporated the "S" in solework into a foot in v2. The remainder of the text seems clunky to me. I was wondering if anyone else was interested in submitting for this design?

Hello here is my idea for your logo...the color/lotus flower represents water, calm, soothing, healing.....you can see in the B/W version how well it translates to 1 color:)Thanks you

Thanks for all the submissions. There are lots of good ideas; the choice is difficult. I have asked for feedback from several associates and clients. Please be patient while I make a decision, which should be no later than Monday AM. I do appreciate your creativity and effort.

Thanks to everyone for truly wonderful and creative designs. All of you gave me a lot to think about and a new perspective on how I portray my business. And thank you, also, for your patience while I made my decision. I have decided to work with Medigraph.

Hi!

I would like to see the graphic (not the text) done a bit bigger/fatter. I may go back to the original size but I do want to see what it looks like a bit larger.

Also it is important that the file you send me be editable in Photoshop(7.0). I am not sure of the color scheme yet and I want to be able to play with the colors.

Thanks,
Sole Work

Here's the revision. I'll be providing the files in PSD format as well.

Thanks. I think I like the original size better (v 2.0). You said you would provide the files in PSD format as well. What other format(s) will the files be in (in addition to PSD)? Also, can you tell me what PMS stands for? I know the different computers show colors differently. I would like to check the colors separately from how they appear on my screen. I don't think where be any more revisions.

I'll provide you the files in a number of additional vector and raster formats (EPS, JPG, PNG etc.) PMS stands for Pantone color code, but I will be including the RGB match as well.
