Project summary:
This logo will be used to brand our new children's ministry. This is one logo which will represent the three "services" that our kids ministry will put on. Therefore, the logo should be very approachable to children.

Within "Kidstown" there are three scenes for our teaching productions.

- Kidstown Zoo (Animals)
- Kidstown Mall (Storefronts)
- Central Park (Playground and sports)

What text should be included in the main part of the logo? Kidstown

What type of product or service do you offer? Children's Ministry for kids birth-12 years old.

How long have you been in business? This is a new "morphing" of children's ministry. The church as a whole is more than 165 years old.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? This will help us brand our kids ministry as something "just for them." We want the atmosphere of the children's areas to communicate that we care about them, their developmental and spiritual needs, and that learning about God is fun.

The logo will drive character development, skits, puppets, music and that sort of thing because of the color scheme, etc.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?August 21st, 2006

Please describe your target audienceKids and their parents.

What type of logo would you like? We're looking for something that you would see on Nick Junior or the Disney Channel or VeggieTales. The characters in our kids production will wear costumes similar to that on The Wiggles.

Even though this project is for a church, you don't need to prominently feature Christian symbols. We're looking for something that is fresh and kid-like.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo?We are open to ideas but we think children respond to bright primary colors.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? We're open to the ideas of designers.

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?Kid friendly, but not so much so that adults would be ashamed to wear a shirt with the logo on it.

Thanks for your ideas and submissions. Church website (http://fbcromeo.org)

nhr- Thanks for your submission. Overall, it is kid friendly. The castle theme is very cute, but doesn't work with the idea of KidsTown. Also, symbols like dice wouldn't work in a church setting.

We're looking forward to some more ideas!

Senter, thanks for your submission. I like the simplicity. Can we try something with bright primary colors (red, blue, yellow). Also, the kids don't look very anglo. Maybe we could go with animals instead of children faces? (Lion or bear or something like that)

Thank you for your ideas!

nhr- the last set, 3.0 & 3.1 interest us most. They are thematic to what we are doing. I like the colors. My only comment is that the buildings may look a little too industrial. (Perhaps peaking the blue ones roof like a house?) Here is what our town's downtown looks like... http://www.brokersnetwork.com/images/c-020s.jpg

Fran- can we try something with just "Kidstown?"

We're excited to see a flury of activity. We're still hoping to see new ideas as well.

Thank you.Thank you everyone. The contest has been solid this weekend. I appreciate it very much.

We're going to go with the design I've got here. If we could make a couple of changes before getting it finalized we'd be 100% satisfied.

We would like to get version 3.0 with the same color scheme as is. (3 buildings, 3 colors.) It's actually matching up with the buildings we've built as part of our stage... almost like you were here.

Changes
- The building on the right (blue) we'd like to peak that roof.
- We'd like to drop the point on the letter "i" in Kidstown. Just fill in the area with the building color.
- For the lower image, if we could replace the balloon and the smiley face with the same bear as the blue one, that would be great. (Keep the same colors and scale as they currently are.)
- We'd like to narrow it down to 3 colors somehow. 4 colors is just a little too expensive for us when we get it to the printer. Can we try using red, yellow, or blue? Just some options would be good.
- We'd like to keep the shape of the red and yellow buildings. But can we lower one the buildings so that they are different heights?

We're very pleased with this design. It's going to look fantastic in our new KidsTown.

Thanks,

Adam

These revisions are great. I've just got one last thing to ask for and we're done. When the files are ready, can you please include black & white versions? (White out the windows of the buildings)

What formats will we get these in?

Thanks!

Of course, black and white version is included by default:

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b92/nhrdesign/DO/KidsTown3rev_bw_nhr.png

Standard file formats are: vector: EPS and bitmaps: JPG (or GIF) and TIFF. All in color and black/white version. If you need some other file format fill free to ask.

Yor files will be ready very soon, but, please, tell me which version you choose :)

Those formats sound great. I just know the printer will want vector art. Beyond sending stuff to the printer I'll be doing all of my creating with the new graphics in PhotoShop. So whatever works best there... I'll let you tell me!

Thanks.
