I would like to see how this would look a little differently.

- change the eyes to look sweet
- changing the R in Rescue to capital letter
- Make the inside of B/W heart white w/black lettering
- change the ears slightly so that they do not touch the cape, maybe even not making them completely black

Ok, here goes, please let me know if you don't think something will work . after all, you're the expert! :o)
- can you make the surfboard more oblong with shading to give it some dimension? (kind of like the one in message #26)
- please change the ears. can you give us a few versions with different ears? Maybe away from head a little, or the kind that stick up a little, then flop over, whatever else you can think of :)
- Please reverse the colors on the B/W version so that the lettering is black, and the inside is white (surfboard and banner)
- Can you make the banner a little larger (to better read the words) and extend it around (from the bottom) to form more of a circle
- Can you fix the paws, they look a little like claws
That's all I can think of for now, I hope I am not being too demanding and a pain :) Thanks so much!!!!!!!! Julia

Hi again! OK, this is what we have come up with so far....
- please make the heartshaped O in UnderDog different somehow (but still keeping it a heart - nice touch, by the way!), so it does not look like a "V"
- please capitalize the "u" in underestimate on banner
- We'll go with version A of the ears, but please make the dog's right ear a bit just a wee bit wider towards the end - using the edge closer to the head (Unless you think that would look stupid), and blend ear a little better to the head
- can we try to "part" the middle of the dog's bangs by adding some black shading? (I hope I am making sense here!)
- Can you grey shading on a B/W logo? If so, can you shade the new "depth borders" that you just did on the surfboard. This is coming along nicely, I am so excited that we are FINALLY getting a logo! I've been meaning to do this for quiet awhile, but I've been sooooo busy with the rescue and dogs that I never got around to it! Thanks again! Julia

Thanks for making the changes, I guess I didn't ask the right way for the B/W surfboard thing. I only want the grey shading where there is the darker blue on the color image. Can you think of a way to put the fin thingie (I think it has a name, but I don't know what it is - LOL ) on the surfboard? It may ruin the lines of the logo, so I will defer to your greater talent to see what can be done. Can you think of any other way to make the surfboard more like a surfboard? I know it is hard to do in 2-D, without making it too busy. Otherwise, everything looks great! Thanks...............Julia

:bash: Deanna, PLEASE don't kill me. I'm going to veer off in a bit of a differerent direction. I put the logo to some others in our rescue group ( I didn't do that before, too many chefs in the kitchen, as they say, but maybe I should have). I got some good feedback, and for now I want to put the surfboard on the back burner. Everyone liked the dog peering over the surfboard, so maybe we can build on that. Can you try doing the same thing, but over the state of Florida?

As far as where to put our name, can you try
1 - whole name above the dog
2 - UnderDog Rescue above the dog, and "OF Florida" using the top of the state for OF(Horizontal) and using the F (like a crossword) to spell Florida vertically down the state.
3- Putting our name in the Gulf of Mexico
4 - Any other creative way you can think of

We would like to put a pawprint where we are based, which is in Bradenton (you can find out where we are by searching the 'net).

I think the font can stay the same, I still like the heart in "dog", except in the B/W version, I would like to try a white heart within the black one.
But, if you want to experiment with other fonts, I would love to see them! :D

As far as colors, can we experiment with some different ones, other than the red and blue?

As far as our slogan, if we stick with the airplane/banner thing, let's try at the bottom, or maybe crossing over the bottom of the state. Maybe you can think of a different way of presenting our slogan.

When you say the whole thing in a box/rectangle do you mean even the name UnderDog Rescue and of Florida and the State of Florida as well as the tag line?

Did you want a simpler font? or something fancier?

Hi Deanna, For now, we are going to forget about the tag line.
Yes, please put everything else in a box/rectangle. The reason why is to offset the fact that Florida is at an off kilter angle. But, if you can figure out a way to balance it, or make it look good, I would LOVE to see that, too!
We would like a font that is informal, but easy to read. Some that I found on my computer are, Simpson, Jester, Brush stroke26, Bimini, Bassett...I hope that gives you an idea of what I am looking for! As far as colors...please give me some more examples, using 2 colors, at least one of those being a bright color. Thanks!

Hi Deanna, I like the prior version a bit better. I have been playing amateur designer on my Printshop, so I can do better at directing you where I want to go. Please continue to bear with me!
Back to versions N1 - N4, I like better.
Do you have a font called Tabitha? Please try it in Neon/bright green letters outlined in white and lighter green for all of our text. (Placed generally in the same place as before) Please remember to capitalize the D in UnderDog!
The background needs to be a light blue, kind of like the blue bar where it says "Quick Reply" above the message. The state should be a fairly bright orange, with the pawprint being black.
In the B/W version, please make Florida white with a black outline, and black pawprint
If possible, it would be great to put our website on there, www.underdog.petfinder.com . Perhaps on the bottom of the box to balance the logo out (smaller letters, please)

OK, Deanna, We are going with the last one, the one that popped into your head. We love the blue in the circle and the light blue for the pawprint! Can you try the following changes?
- Use the font used in message 55 for "UnderDog Rescue".
- Can you manage to squeeze the "of Florida" within the foot pad of the pawprint?
- can you fix the southern tip of Florida from breaking the circle and distorting the tag line?
- HELP! We are clueless when it comes to colors. It boils down to "I'll know it when I see it" on our part. As I said, we like the blues for inside the circle
- Is it possible, without crowding it/making it too busy, to get our web address in there somewhere. We may be pushing our luck, here, but it never hurts to ask!
You have done an awesome job, and have had the patience of a saint. Don't think I do not appreciate it, because I reeeaaaaaaaally do! Julia
