I am in need of a t-shirt design that members of my community bulletin board would like to wear. The message board accepts no advertising and is free to its members. I bear the cost of the entire site.
The people on the board tend to gripe about the problems in our city. Since we live in an upscale neighborhood in South Florida, many people think they are above the laws of the city and rules of their neigborhood. We call them "special people". We make fun of them.
Please take a look at NotCrap.com (http://www.notcrap.com). Just take a look at the variety of topics.
Especially this thread shirt contest (http://www.notcrap.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=2008&perpage=15&pagenumber=1).
and this one Special People (http://www.notcrap.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1823)
I would like to put this graphic on the back of some t-shirts. I'm not sure what the costs are for full color as opposed just a few colors so we may need to adjust the logo later on. The logo should be humorous but not obscene. Adults should be able to wear it in public.
Also, I am going to sell these shirts at cost. I accept no money from anyone so that I answer to no one and I and the members can say what we want without fear of advertisers getting pissed.
Let me know if you have any questions.

do you have a hi-rez (preferably vector) version of the not crap! logo we can download? If not, no worries.

This sounds pretty fun. I've already got a few ideas brewing! I have a couple of questions, though. Do you want a slogan included? And do you want your site's regular logo incorporated into the design?

Nah we don't need the site's regular logo. That one is getting kind of old.
I'm not sure about where or if the slogan should appear on the shirt. Maybe under the picture it would say "I see SPECIAL people" or something. Feel free to come up with a slogan or use this one.
On the left front breast of the shirt it will say www.NotCrap.com.

Nice poop. I was thinking more along the lines of making it more relevant to the community bulletin board site then a generic poop.

I moved away from the poop, and went with the "Special People".
Please advise.

If you want poop, monkeys have been know to toss it...

Since my website/forum is about our community only I was trying to have the graphics geared toward the community. Kind of inside joke thing. If it's generic with monkeys or poop then it has no relevance to the community. Please take a look at the links I put in my 1st post.
Nice monkey's though.

Mike - I like your style! :)
We need more people like you.
Here's my go with your shirt design. Came up with a slogan too - but I saw that you were looking for suggestions from the community, so maybe its better if they do it (will have more of an "inside joke" meaning...)

Julie,
Everyone (=most everyone and my wife) likes yours. Can you maybe spice it up a little (I have no idea what I am talking about) and make the person/cellphone a little more legible. It took me a minute to "see" that part.
Great work.

Are you working within a set number of colors for printing?

Julie,
VERY nice. I don't think I am working with a set number of colors. I am going to offer the shirts for sale at CafePress.com. It appears that they can transefer ANY graphic to the shirt with just about unlimited colors. It's looking very nice.

Julie,
Thanks for working with me on this. I forgot something one of my users pointed out
" would suggest that the designer show the SUV barreling down a street with people, dogs, etc., scrambling to get out of the way while the driver is on the cell phone. It has to be a female driver, it's funnier that way.
Also, there has to be a reference to Weston. "
We are real close.

Julie,
This looks great. I love it. Can we make 1 LAST change. Can we replace the teddy bear with a bicyclist being run over ?
Then we got a deal.

Will do. Expect the changes tomorrow sometime. I'd get to it sooner, but I've got a ton of stuff to do. Sorry!
