I am a civil engineering company in Georgia. My company name is Advanced Engineering Consultants, LLC. I like earth tones and designs that are not too large and fancy. Simple and artistic is best. I need a logo by Sept. 22, 2006. I do not want a font that is too flashy because I have to plot it out on large format printers that sometimes do not do well with these fonts.

Additional Project Information:

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? Advanced Engineering Consultants, LLC will be present and I would like some artistic design or element to add to the verbage

What type of product or service do you offer? Civil Engineering - mainly residential and some commercial

How long have you been in business?Newly Formed Company

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?Target developers and have a logo that is eye catching but not too flashy

What are your long term goals? to have a relatively small firm that produces exceptional work for a reasonable price and in a timely manner

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? Sept. 22

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience. Primarily developers of mass subdivisions will be my audience.

Who would you like to add to your audience?

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? something earthy that reflects being aware of the land

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) earth tones

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? not at this time

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? very technically sound

What is your tagline or slogan? Make sure you take an "ADVANCED" approach to your next project.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? that i do great work and this is not my first time around the block

Where will your new logo be used? in my title block of all my projects and on my business cards and stock

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? my competition is civil engineers of like work - most of their logos are very simple and not very rememberable

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors? Effeciency and Quality

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: ADVANCED

Here's a figurative A and E design that has an identifiable icon that could be rendered simply onto the printed pieces.

nhr: I like where you are going with this one - can you try it with Advanced in red and the rest in black and also drop the LLC - can you makr the arrow look like a roadway that is projecting out

pracus: I dont like the block letter look and I would rather focus more on being Advanced as opposed to AEC

rongen: I like this...but the colors seem to fade and not jump out at you...let's try this with Red and Black instead...maybe a bolder font.

graphixguy: I really liked this one best when I first saw it but the more I look at it, I think I need to focused on "Advanced" rather than AEC.

Senter: I like the graphic but again I want to focus on "Advanced".

Blue Cherry Graphics: Off the mark...looking more for something where "Advanced" stands out.

Aaron: I like the idea that you had with the A & E but it just didn't pop out at me when I first saw it.

For all: Take LLC out. Steer more towards red and black. Thanks so much for your entries...they are looking great.

I want to thank everyone for participating, the designs were all great. I have however chosen to go with BlueChierryGraphics Version 2 by J Johnson.

BlueCherryGraphics: Can you make the engineering consultants a little taller, I like how you have it fitted under the advanced but i am a little concerned about it being too small when placed on business cards.

Thanks,

RFolsom
