Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
IFA Home Funding, also possibly “Mortgage Co.” but not necessary

What type of product or service do you offer?
Home Loans and Refinances, some commercial as well.

How long have you been in business?
3 years, but trying a new look and name.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We are trying to modernize our identity and give it a more refreshing look and feel. Also trying to have a more professional and memorable image.

What are your long term goals?
Appealing to a wider group of clients and increase our client base.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Ill say 2weeks or so.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
We currently focus on the family type clients but wish to expand to the younger and professional crowds.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
The younger professional, but obviously not excluding the general crowd.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
We aren’t looking for anything cartoonish or overly bright, something more modern and professional, something refreshing and that will stick to your mind.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
We want to try lively colors, nothing too bland, but we are more than open to different color schemes.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Nothing in mind, we are open to anything.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Professionalism, modern, memorable.

What is your tagline or slogan?

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

Where will your new logo be used?
Business cards, promotional items, advertising, letterheads, etc.

Competitive Positioning:

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
No competitors to mention, but I do like some of the designs used in the past on Design Outpost.

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We are trying to change the typical home buying experience with a more modern and family like approach. We aren’t just a mortgage company, clients can call with any issue varying from the latest finance rates to what the best places to eat out are, where to go, or just to tell us that gas station around the corner has great gas prices.

Senter:
Not a bad logo at all! Its nice and simple but we would like something a little more. We like the idea of going with house theme like both you and medigraph did, so we're on the right track. Also would you also include the "Mortgage Co." part as well, it seems to flow better.

Medigraph:
We love what you're doing with the logo, its very creative. The only thing that i would ask is that you make the IFA part look more like a house, perhaps make the "I" a little longer and/or the "F" a little shorter, or just anything that you think will make it look better. I like the colors as well, they are very lively but not cheesy or cartoonish.

A few updates to the requirements:
I like the house/home theme, doesnt necessarily have to be a complete house- it can also be bits and pieces like senter's. Also we would prefer "Mortgage Co." to be incorporated as well.

Senter and Medigraph, we really like both of the designs, especially since both sort of reflect different attitudes and looks.

If you dont mind, i took the liberty of playing with each design a bit, the file is attached.

Senter: I like your second design much better mainly due to the font changes, the editing i did was with the old design. After looking at my editing and your new version, i really like your most recent the best.

Medigraph: I really didnt do much of a change to your latest design, i just tried to adjust the IFA image to look more like a house by lengthening the "I" and thinning out the "F."

Im happy with both designs but just want to wait till the deadline to see if anyone else (inlcuding you two) will submit a new design. I was trying to get away from the "house" theme but it seems as though it is the best symbol for mortage co's.

IFA stands for "International Financial Alliance", its a pre-existing company that my dad owns that deals with Insurance and Investments, i just decided to borrow the IFA since i like how it looks/sounds.

Medigraph:Your new submissions look MUCH nicer than my take on the logo, thanks for the color choices, especially the first and second of the three.

Senter: I like this version of the logo as well, its crazy how rearranging a few things changes the whole look of it.

Hi all,

Senter: If you would not mind, would you mind posting a completely different logo? We have seen in a different project where you posted like 3-4 different logos, and they all looked quite good. I know it is easier said than done, but we would truly appreciate it!!

Asparagus: Your latest version is an improvement from the previous, but after some discussion, we would like to see the words IFA in a smaller size, and in a color other than the brown variation that you used. Also, if you can think of anything to make it better, go for it!!

Medigraph: We would like to see if there is any type of modification that you can think of to see if it would make your logo better. We like your logo, but are trying to make one last push to make all logos better. We are sure that you will think of something!

Djaka: We would like to see the logo incoporate a house theme more fully. Maybe using a picture of an actual house may improve it, but not too sure. Looking forward to your next post!!

Designers,

After discussing all of the logos, including a few tweaks here and there, we think we have come up with a winner. The majority of the designs are definately awesome and creative, but perhaps a little "too" much for our needs.

Medigraph's V3 from post #10 will be the winner. We only ask for a few changes: Remove the line under the IFA HOME FUNDING and try to add a sort of chimney/period/dot after the "A" of the sideways "IFA." Also, would you mind making the "mortgage co." a tad bit bigger?

Just for fyi, we will be using this for business cards, forms, stationary, promotional items including banners and ads so we'll probably need something with nice resolution.

Medigraph, a co-worker suggested that maybe the letters in "IFA" should be together and not have the gap between them, could we give that a try please? Also, can you also include a logo with the words "Properties" in place of "Home Funding" and "Real Estate" in place of "Mortgage Co.".
