Our city is having a community wide weekend bible study for our teenagers. The theme for the weekend is "Totally Consumed" with a sub heading of "The Authentic Worshiper".

The weekend is going to be about Worship (duh) and I'm wanting a design to put on our shirts that has "Totally Consumed" with a worship feel. Does that make any sense? At first I wondered about some sort of fire in the logo, but I don't want it to look 'hellish', if you know what I mean. Of course a cool cross some how or another would be good too. But I'm very open to creativity. It could just be "Totally Consumed" in a big fat font done in a cool way or a mixture of all of the above elements. I'd also wondered about a silohuette of a guy/girl with hands raised in worship being incorporated somehow.

I'd originally thought of a dark grey (like a lot of college athletic shirts come in) or a darker blue shirt color (background) but if a certain design lends itself to a different shirt color I'm open. Don't use more than 3 or 4 colors in the design.

Remember that these shirts will be primarily worn by teenagers. So make it cool, but not too cartoony. Not that I'm a fan of them, but the shirts you see college frats and sororities wearing are quite popular around here. But use your creative genius...that's what I'm here for. I may end up putting the event date (like Disciple Now 2K3) somewhere in there after it is done, or if you can fit that in there, but it is waaaaaay secondary.

I know this might be very short notice, but I hope to find a winner by tomorrow.

Any questions, post them here, or send me a PM or AIM if I'm on (StateDOG21)

A note to the designers, I've posted some images in the private forum for you to use for this project. Designers please note that this is a rush contest. He would like to make a decision on Monday.

Thank you StateDOG for running a contest with us :) I'm sure you'll have some very nice entries.

Hi,

I entered this contest on SitePoint before it was posted here but I have since created a new design. I am still using the less is more approach but have incorporated one of the images provided.

I really like this design - as I have ideas that it could be embroided onto caps and you could also use that 'puff' type paint on t-shirts since the design can be one colour only.

I like the white on a dark coloured t-shirt and I also like the black on a bright coloured t-shirt. Where I live the bright coloured tops are really in style amoungst the younger generation.

Also - the design is in vector format so it can be scaled to size - you may even like to have the design small on like a pocket or something?

Thanks to all who have submitted.

SideFX - If we condenced it a little...where the spacing between Totally and Consumed wasn't so wide, how would that look. And I don't think I like the rings around the guy. But the cross shadow is really a good idea.

axdenied - I really like your 2nd one. Can we make "The Authentic Worshiper" in a slightly smaller font. Just a little, that way "Totally Consumed" stands out a little bit more. Again, not much of a reduction, but a little.

Demex - I really like your entries here. I think you gave different background colors to simulate the shirt color, but I think it might be good to even use your whole graphic and put on a shirt of a differnt color to provide some stark contrast.... like the orange graphic on a blue shirt or something, or the grey on a yellow shirt. Is there anyway way to make "Disciple Now 2K3" stand out just a little from "Consumed"? Either bold CONSUMED or change "Disciple Now 2K3" just a little, or even adjust its spacing to where it doesn't stretch the whole width of "CONSUMED"? It looks great as it is, but wondered how it might look otherwise.

Guys, thank you so much for some last minute work. I think I'll need to pull the trigger on this by mid afternoon (Central Time Zone) so I'll be letting you know. I was also running this on a different site too before I posted it over here, so I'm still having to look at those as well. But there is quality work here!

If anyone else has any submissions get them in quick. I'll be checking through out the morning.
