Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
"Whatever Floats Your Goat!"
What type of product or service do you offer?
T-shirts, Sweat shirts, etc
How long have you been in business?
Start up
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?A fun theme for people who are willing to take chances and do what they want with life, without regards to what others think
What are your long term goals?
To catch on like "Big Dogs" or "Life Is Good" clothing lines
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
November 3rd
Audience Profile:
Most Likely 18 and up. The target audience will be people who take chances to do what they want in life instead of what is normal. Taking responsibility for themselves and trying things most people want to, but don't have the courage to (like starting their own business)
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
You need to understand the humor here to appreciate this. My wife meant to tell me "whatever Floats your Boat" when I told her I was quitting my job to start my own business. She accidently said Goat instead of Float and the jokes started from there and became theme for us.
The vision we have is a Billy Goat Standing at the front a rowboat doing something like the Captain Morgan (spiced rum) stance.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)No
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? Be a free Spirit, take chances and don't let other stop you because they wouldn't take the chance.
What is your tagline or slogan?
"Whatever Floats Your Goat"
Where will your new logo be used?
On sportswear and associated items. Ideally, the logo wil need to be recognizeable shrunk down to fit on something like the pocket of a pocket-T and the front/back of a t-shirt.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
The message of doing what you want in life
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Life on your Terms
shnickerdoodle studios

Thanks for the submisssion. We're along the right track. We would like the Goat in the front of the boat, with the boat facing to the right and a little more head on. I would also like the image to be a little more on the realistic side vs the cartoonish side if that makes sense.
Thanks

Mowling,
You are definietely on the right track. We love the boat position and the position of the goat. The goat is just a little too serious for a fun line of clothing. We don't necessarily want a cartoon goat, but something between these two would be great. I hope that makes some sense.
Also could we get some variations with;
- color
- no mountains
- none or different frame borders
- logo on the bottom
You are definietely on with the core concept. Now we just want to see some other variations around that to choose from.
Thanks in advance to you and others who continue down this path.

Ok, not sure how to ask this, but Mowling and Titania, can you two work together. I like Mowlings Boat, background and goat position, but I like Titania's Goat much better, not so much the postion, but the look of the goat.
Mark
Dear Client,
I have sent you a Private Message, Please read and get back to me as soon as you can. Thank you
Titania will you post your repositioned goat for the Client to approve before you send it to Mowling.
Also Client please note that you will not be able to have Mowling make any revisions to the goat (since it is not his design). If you need anychanges on the goat now is the time to ask Titania. Please let me know if you need any assistance. Talk to you soon and take care.

Titania,
Love the goat! Can you position him to match the position of Mowlings goat in Message #13 ver 5 and adjust the color to what you think would blend well with that image.

Mowling, you are the winner here, but I have deposited extra funds for Titania's goat, that I would like implemented into your design (message #13 ver 5).
Thanks
Mark

ok, we're not quite, where I want to be. I really want Mowlings version 5 in message 13 (not the one above) and I would like the goat to have the same postion as that one (how the legs are positioned and their position on the boat). Is this possible?
Mowling
11-14-2006, 06:31 AM
Mark,
Because of the layout of Titania's Goat and the stipulation of not altering the layout of her goat...I can't make the legs like the goat layout I created in version 5.
Let me know if you need anything else.
thanks,
Matt

Sorry, I was gone for the holiday. Let me ask your opinion, Does the goat look to large for the rest of the image (proportion to the boat). Also is there a way to drop the rear legs so the goat actuall looks like he is the boat.

Hi Mark,
I shrank the size of the goat down a tad. I am not sure what you are talking about droping the rear legs. Could you explain in detail?

Mowling,
I swear we are almost done. I think we may have shrunk too far, Can I see a size between the two different sizes you have. If you look at your original goat, it looks like he is standing on the bottom of the boat with his rear legs as you can't see the hoofs in fact he is below almost to his knees. This one looks like he is standing on top of the boat.
