The Logo for my company First Inventories is nearly coming to completion and can be found in the logo forums. This may help with the design. Also, please tell me what further information you require to get this project started?

Here is my submission.
I have made up some text, (I'm sure you have your own text) just to show what the page would look like.
The images are from istock photo and can be purchased if you choose my design.
I hope you like it, feeback welcomed!!
Thanks
Lisa.
(p.s. had to very slightly reduce the quality of images etc, to allow for uploading onto this site).

HI Lisaw, sorry for the delayed response. my intenet connection was playing up.
The overall look is fresh and nice. I like the rounded tabbed sections. The selection of house style and checklist photos are nice.
Can you place the following logo in the template. I would like you to make use of the three colours used in the logo on the template and maybe the top section to be be white space instead of the blue.
http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=237312&postcount=9
Questions:
how flexible will the right hand column be? I may want to add new sections like: testimonials, links and maybe 4 PDF download links showing samples of documents that I create.

Hi 3bedsemi!
Thanks for the feeback. I will set about making the changes.
The right hand column will be completely flexible, in that as you add more content it will grow longer and so will the rest of the page.
Let me know if there is anything else you want changed or any more questions you have.
Thanks.

Good morning Lisa
Here are my comments for Lisa - revision2
The overall website feel is pleasing to the eye apart from some issues with colour.
The slogon text in blue blends in too much with the blue background.
The orange for the tabs when not selected is not clear to read.
The general text colour seems too faint.
Can you add a fax number image under the phone and email image.
can you remove "our news", "faq" from teh right hand side column
it's not clear if the "our news", Frequently asked questions", "coverage" text in right hand column are links or just text.
can you add FAQ and coverage to the top level tabs. Place them after process tab
can you add the 4 PDF downloads examples to the right hand side column and a link at the bottom taking you to see more downloads.
can you places booking tab between inventory and prices.

Hi Severner. thanks for your submission.
Here is my feedback for Severner - version 1
would like to see the logo blended into the top header. At the moment it looks "bolted on" and distant.
Would like to see the top level tabs blended in somehow. again , they look distant.
I like the clean overall feel and balance of the design
I like the clear and bold photo of the furniture.
I like the downloads section to the left with the PDF images for links.
I like the use of the headings in the same font ( to me it looks like the same font) as the logo.

Hi Asparagus
Thanks for your submission.
Here is my feedback for your entry:
the overall look seems squashed.
the logo seems too large with respect to the overall page.
overall look seems too grey. not keen on the faded images
not keen on the font used for the slogon.
I like the top level tabs used
I like the Testimonials component
I like the samples component.
how about replacing the arrow links with PDF images.

Hello Heathersmith
thanks for the entry
** I like the overall proportion and clean feel
** I like the photo of the kitchen and the bedroom on the second page
** It's very blue so how about trying to add some more green if possible and a hint of orange as found in the logo.
** I like the watermarked type tick beside the kitchen photo
** The first page has a grey aspect to the header ( section where the logo is) while the second page does not. I prefer the second page header
** could you add another photo if feasible to the body of the page? which could change with different pages or something that I could omit depending on content
** I like the fonts used
** I like the green "fast and detailed profess inventories" on second page
** I like the HOME, FAQ and CONTACT links in the top right corner
** I like the tabs and colour of the tabs
** I like the testimonial and links component
regards :)

Feedback for lisaw
thanks for the revision
** can you replace with the sofa photo.
** I think it looks better without the blue background
** not keen on the shadows around the 3 header images
** not keen on the contact us and download headers. They look like buttons
** not keen on the glowing line under the contact us and downloads components
** The main body text seems small - could this be increased just a little if possible?
** Can you show me what the page looks like without the background graphics behind the body of the text
** when home is selected, would there be the thin white line below the tab or would it be filled in?
regards :)

Hi Heathersmith
thanks for the revision. my comments:
** I am not keen on teh green background. I prefer the initial blue background. Also, i am not keen on the orange buttons - i prefer the green button. Is there anywhere else you could add orange subtly to the design?
** I like the new photo of the towels in the second page.

Hi, changes required for First Inventories Design Project:
1. Please use the final logo ( EPS format available and other formats also available - tell me what u need)
2. Make the Logo proportionally correct. At the moment it looks oversized.
3.The Top tab order - Services, inventory, process, news, coverage, prices, booking.
4. can you add a sitemap link to the bottom of the page beside copyright msg.
** How difficult would it to add a new side components to the right hand side column? say a news component?
** Is there anyway you could potentially add some more green to the design? The green border you put in earlier did not seem right... If you can't then that is no problem.
** will the bottom copyright msg be in text format?
