Church Logo $60 for a logo!!!

Hey all you designers out there,
Xuffguy here and we are looking for a logo for the First Christian Church of Rio Grande! This logo will become our image in the community...it will be on shirts, letterhead, posters, newsletters, and anything else assoctiated with the congregation. The name of the congregation is a must! (you don't have to have "of Rio Grande" that is optional). The main part of our purpose statement is: "A Congregation Focused on Christ" also optional, but I thought it might be of interest.

Deadline for this contest is noon on August 25th of 2003 and the prize for this logo is $60...happy designing :tup:

That logo is pretty cool...but I am looking for something that is a little less traditional. The cross is a plus. And I would like to see something simple yet eyecatching! Maybe using the theme "Focused on Christ" with an eye or a person looking at the cross. Nothing cartoony remember, this will be on every piece of promotional material going out.

Like the last one JulieT, but how will the cross with the fade of color to one side come across if embroidered?
I also like the one with the water drop...maybe if you could show me something with both water and light? With the text in color?

I didn't realize you were going the embroidery route--I don't have a lot of experience with that, so you could always talk to whoever it is who might be doing your shirts, or I've also included an alternative.

I also wasn't sure what you meant by water and light...I've got something here that could cover that, but it's not fully realized.

I like the one with the cross and the guy...my idea about water and light wasn't a very good one :blink: If you could do this for me:
Make the cross a darker color...as a matter of fact make the entire color scheme green, gold, and tan (or brown).

I created this for another church contest and, since it wasn't selected (they didn't want a cross in their logo), I thought it might work for this church.

Well there only 10 days left in this contest and I am going to make a request...
I like some of the logos I have recieved so far but they are very similar in style. I would like to see some designs that are totally different from the one submitted so far.

Like the last one! Let do some changes in color and font style to see what it looks like.

I don't know if you can do this...but see if someone could do a cross with a magnifying glass focused on it or a magnifying glass on the word "Chirst" in the phrase "Focused on Christ". See what you can do! :o

We like the new logo, Dynagirl :tup: But we would still like some more ideas to choose from. With six days remaining on this contest I hope to have several to choose from!

I still would like to see something with the word "Christ" enlarged by a magnifying glass in the statement "a Congregation Focused on Christ." :brow:
