Hi,
I am looking for a logo for my new venture as an e-commerce store in designer clothing. The company is called Neat Designer Clothing and the url is www.neatdesignerclothing.co.uk.
I want a logo that is stylish with the target audience in mind (young and fashion conscious) and if possible could include in a image or symbol of my USP (unique selling proposition) which is being the cheapest provider of designer clothing.
The deadline for the design of the logo is 2 weeks and I will give regular feedback every day.
Thank you,
Darrell Freeman :)

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Neat Designer Clothing. Maybe the URL and something about the USP (unique selling proposition) which is the low cost.
What type of product or service do you offer?
Men’s Designer Clothing Products from brands such as Armani, Stone Island, Hugo Boss, Prada, Diesel etc….
How long have you been in business?
New Start Up. The site is currently available to see at www.neatdesignerclothing.co.uk and will properly be launched in February.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Styish & Professional image. Captures the imagination of the target audience.
What are your long term goals?
To become one of the main e-commerce sites for designer clothing in the UK.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Friday 24th November 2006
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Predominately male audience. Aged between 16 – 30. Interested in designer clothing.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Just to penetrate this market.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
A logo which will have the company name Neat Designer Clothing. I would like a logo that fits into the style of the website, www.neatdesignerclothing.co.uk.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I think one of the main colours has to be Navy Blue (to colour co-ordinate with the site) but I will leave other colour(s) up to the designers.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
I have no images in mind.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
To be a stylish logo which appropriately represents a company whose customers are young and very fashion conscious.
What is your tagline or slogan?
The main USP of the site is it is going to be the cheapest provider of designer wear on line. If the USP could somehow be incorporated into the logo that would be great.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
A stylish company which is the cheapest in this market and also provides great customer support.
Where will your new logo be used?
The new logo will replace the temporary logo on the site (www.neatdesignerclothing.co.uk). Also it will be used on business cards, letter heads, compliment slips etc….
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
There are quite a few competitors in this market. Brown bag Clothing’s (www.brownbagclothing.co.uk) is quite plain in my opinion and does not say anything about the company. Clothing Trends (www.clothingtrends.co.uk) is a logo that is well colour co-ordinated but it is very amateurish and does not catch the imagination of the target market.
List competitive URLs if possible
Done above. Also http://www.baggamenswear.co.uk/
What sets you apart from your competitors?
PRICE!!! We aim to be the cheapest in the market backed up with a price promise. Also the customer service will be superior to the competition.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Low cost Designer Clothing
Other Information:
All rights to the design are to be handed over as well.
The size of the logo could be a bit bigger than the temporary logo in place now on the web site.
Thanks,
Darrell

Thanks for your entry Bill, much appreciated. I think the logo needs to be more stylish. Unfortunately it just does not capture my imagination. Would be good to hopefully have something in the logo to show that Neat Designer Wear is the low cost option and maybe another colour.
Thanks for getting the ball rolling

Thanks for your entry Blue Cherry. I do not think that the logo goes with the website, please have a look at www.neatdesignerwear.co.uk. Essentially the logo should be navy in colour with maybe other colour(s), be stylish and hopefully incorporate a low cost symbol.
Looking forward to seeing more designs.
Thanks,
Darrell

Hi,
Decided to change company name from 'Neat Designer Wear' to 'Neat Designer Clothing'. Therefore the new link to the site is www.neatdesignerclothing.co.uk or www.neatdesignerclothing.com. Please use 'Neat Designer Clothing' in all future logos.
Thanks,
Darrell

Hi Medigraph,
Thanks for your entry. Very impressed. It is a good start and a step in the right direction and captures the theme well. Regardless, I think any design needs to be more rectangular than square. Look forward to any revisions. Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for the revisions. The shape is what I expect and it looks great. Could you please drop approximately 0.5cm off the end of the tag (piece of string) this would just make the logo more compact vertically and easier to fit into the different spaces on my site. Any chance you could show me what it would look like on my website (www.neatdesignerclothing.co.uk) in place of the temporary logo.
Thank you,
Darrell

Hi Fabian,
Thanks for your entry. The shape is just right however I don't think the logo would go with the web site in terms of colour and I am not too sure about the scribble on the left hand side.
Thanks,
Darrell

Thanks for the latest entries both Fabian & Deanna,
Fabian - Overall a good design however i'm not too sure on the font and also the fact it is a bit plain.
Deanna - I like your design however I think it quite run of the mill and doesn't stand out neither do I think it would capture the imagination of my target audience.
Thank you both for entries. Look forward to seeing more entries.
Thanks,
Darrell

Hi,
Here is some feedback for the latest designs.
Fabian - The logo is too plain. Thanks for your various entries.
Pieter - I like the logo however the logo needs to be more rectangular than square to integrate with the website.
Deanna - The revisions have made the logo better however I still think that it would not capture the imagination of our target audience.
Thanks for all your entries :)

Hi,
After much debating I have chosen the logo. There were some fantastic logos and the choice was very difficult. We have decided to go with Eziey's logo. If you could please PM for slight revisions to the design.
Thank you to all that entered.
