Greetings!
We have a small Assistance Dog Training Program. We teach people with disabilities to use their abilities to train their own assistance dog to enhance their independence at home and in the community. We are a non profit, all volunteer organization.
We would like our new logo to address more assistance dog teams.

How long have you been in business?
3 years, but newly no nprofit
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
A quick at a glance recognition, and something easily embroidered on people clothing and on assistance dog vests.
What are your long term goals?
Growing the program to assist more people and provide more education for the public.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
December 20th, 2006
Audience Profile:
People with disabilities and people interested in supporting teams financially and through volunteerism.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Public organizations, schools, groups.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
Something catchy/attractive, yet the words need to be clear for those with disabilities to be able to disipher.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo?
Black and white with splash of color... green and or gold.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Definitely need to have a dog wearing an assistance dog vest, and a person or symbol of a person standing or a wheelchair
Communication Strategy:
freedom, independence
What is your tagline or slogan?
Building Peaceable Partnerships to Independence
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Using abilities, positive humane training methods only. People with disabilities have abilities!
Where will your new logo be used?
On website, embroidered onto dogs' vests, on clothing, on promotional materials.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Many are too long. We'd like something more oval in shape
List competitive URLs if possible

Work with people with multiple disabilities, psychiatric disorders and children.
