Hi I've used the site before for a door hanger design and was very pleased with the results, so hopefully you can assist my with my logo re design.

We sell products on ebay for local businesses and residents

I want to focus more on targetting business with higher value products for resale

What are your long term goals? To create a memorable brand locally

Please describe your existing audience

Existing customers are local residents with average household income of 50-120,000 and local businesses

Who would you like to add to your audience?

People looking to sell more specialized equipment such as a doctors office or hospital looking to resale an expensive piece of medical equipment, or a restaurant liquidating assets.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

I would like a text based logo, or text with an icon of some sort, although i'm open to ideas.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

I'm partial towards purple, but I'm very open to colors. However I would prefer to stay away from red.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

I'm completely open to any ideas as far as this is concerned

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? That we deal with selling high end products frequently , and are reliable.

What is your tagline or slogan?

N/A

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? That we can help you convert your items that you want to sell to cash, fast.

Where will your new logo be used?

On direct mailout brochures, and also on doorhangers mainly. It will be on business cards, and invoices as well. I don't plan on using it in any other advertising formats in the near future.

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

The fact that we go to the customer instead of forcing them to come to us.

There are a few things I like, and dislike about your design.

First of all I do somewhat like the icon that you have. However would it be possible to raise the sword in his hand a little more toward the sky? What I mean is to have his arm raised higher in the air I guess.

To me the thing about this design that you did well was capture the design elements of the icon fairly well. However I don't like the way the text is layed out very much. I would appreciate it if you could try again as far as that goes.

As far as colors also perhaps a darker shade of purple would be what i was looking far. As far as the secondary color, I'm not so sold on that gold color perhaps try something different.

I had a couple of ideas about the logo. First with the 3rd version of the Icon (message 9) I was wondering if we could incorperate the icon into the logo better. Do you think you could make it where the sword started the letter 'A" in Auction on the left side? Another Idea i had was that the sword could point to the letter 'A' and be under the words, or it would point to the logo in general.

As far as the fonts are concerned I definately like 'C' from message 9.

Also I'm very open to just a Text based logo if you have any ideas.

I like the theme of the logo, and I think putting the circlular object in place of the 'O' is nice. However is there any way we could see some other ideas for things to go in the 'O'? I don't really like the gavel and shield so much. Also could we see a color scheme with the purple and perhaps a lime green? Also could I see one with the purple and a black?

By the way I like how you have the icon in the circle the same color as the word 'hero'.

Also I'm very open to just having a text based logo, if you have any ideas.

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to reply sooner. Thanks for these submissions, I like several of these. I'm having a hard time deciding which direction to go in.

Im interested in your design but i haven't heard back from you in a while. Did you have any ideas about message 12 ?

I'm still considering your design, and i know that i've requested several revisions on it already. So I will try to make this one simple: Could you take the design from message 16 keep the word 'auction' the same color, but change the word 'hero' and the logo as well as the left side of the letter 'a' ( the sword) to a lime green color?

I really like the simplicity of your design. First I have a question for you, what exactly is that to the right of the masked guys face? Is that stars? Not that I dislike that I was just curious.

Ok I have a couple requests that should be rather easy for you: Could you keep the logo as is and submit a few ideas with different colors? An idea that I had was maybe if we kept the words 'auction hero' mostly black but only added color to a few of the letters, and keep the color the same as the icon. For instance you could change just the color of the 'a' and perhaps one more letter. I think this may create a pleasing effect, yet be simple at the same time.

Thanks for everyones submissions. I'm going to go ahead and end the contest because one design really impressed me. I've chosen freetime to complete the design. I really appreciate all the submissions, and you all did a very good job.

Ok down to business:

Freetime, first can we see the same logo but with some different color schemes? I'm not really sure which I want to go with so just try a bunch. I do like the 2 color concept you have going so we will keep it to 2 colors, just trying different ones. Also in at least a few of the designs can you show me how it would look if we outlined the words 'auction hero'. The logo is pretty much dead on what I'm looking for, I just want to decide which colors will work for me the best. Thanks!

Here's a first look with two color combinations

Hi I definatly like the ones best that have all the letters filled in with color( like the original design and the top of the 3 new ones). What I was requesting to see was like the original design with maybe a black outline around the letters. Also can we see a few ideas with purple and a contrasting color.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. Here are revisions with the original and black outline and then a couple color variations with black outline and without.

Could we see how the green from message 29 would look with the purple from message 31. Can you make the purple the main color and outline the green but not the purple in this example? Thanks

I think I may just go with the original colors, I think it looks nice that way. Could I see the original (red blue ) logo but with the star in the letter 'o' colored red instead of white?

Here is those revisions. The logos on the right are outlined in red to make the logo an actual two color logo. The ones on the left are 3 color.
