I need a logo for two new web sites I am launching, QuoteCorral.com and LeadCorral.com. The picture or substance of the logo will be identical for both sites, with just the site name and tagline altered.
Designers can simply show QuoteCorral.com logos then when I choose the winner we will modify it for LeadCorral.com
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
QuoteCorral.com
What type of product or service do you offer?
QuoteCorral.com will be used to generate sales leads for financial products (mostly insurance, also mortgage/credit products). LeadCorral.com will be used to market these leads to salespeople in need of them.
How long have you been in business?
Six years. Both of these sites are new endeavors, though.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
The reason for the Corral domain names is because these sites will be used to aggregate the best quotes for the consumers and the best leads for the salespeople from various sources. I want the logos to illustrate that if possible, but at least help craft an image that is professional (despite the name) and memorable.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
December 5, 2006
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
For QuoteCorral.com: Ages 23-64 looking for better rates on insurance or financial products or looking to purchase them for the first time. For LeadCorral.com: Financial professionals looking for more prospects.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I understand that the names present a sort of goofy picture (cowboys + insurance rates?), but I’d really love to see some type of illustration that shows the client that we “round up” the best rates or leads for them. It can look comical or hokey, but must also have an air of professionalism.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I don’t have any real color preferences, other than it has to look good over a white or really light background color.
Communication Strategy:
What is your tagline or slogan?
There is no firm tagline. I was thinking something along the lines of “Rounding up the best rates on the ‘net” or just “Rounding up the best rates”. I’d love to see the designer take some liberties with the tagline.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That we can save them time/effort of compiling competing quotes by doing it for them.
Where will your new logo be used?
Web site, possibly business cards and print down the road, but probably just web.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
There are many competitors in this space. Some have very outdated logos, some have very nice ones. Most of them are fairly minimalist and don’t lend themselves to illustration like my URLs do.
List competitive URLs if possible
