View Full Version : [Project Complete] URGENT! Banner graphic required for website & ebook - $200
(Admin code added by Palmer - 2D479574B0596514A REF,46C646356R410204C REF)
Business Basecamp 2006 ( we will have a series every year)
2 items:
1. banner graphic
2. ebook cover
We have a really tight deadline on these graphics. We want them by 27th November - 2 days! I'm not even sure its possible.
We are putting together a Teleseminar Program for people new to small business.
Target market
New coaches, consultants, trainers and service professionals
Program Content
Nuts and bolts classes on essential skills to start a new business (networking, planning, client management etc.)
Design
1. banner:
we are thinking something like climbing a mountain, or reaching a pinnacle etc. pretty cliched i know, but really we just want something that will communicate to business people who are struggling that they have arrived at the right place and that we have the answers they need.
We would also like the website title to be in the graphic if possible "Business Basecamp"
2. ebook
we want a 3d design, like the ones shown at http://www.easyebookpro.com/ using aspects of the banner graphic.
Text- Business Basecamp 2006: a nuts and bolts guide to getting ahead in business
Location
We have a current draft of the website at
http://www.coachingpanels.com/12dayindex_v2.html
The current graphic (image) will go, this is just a placeholder (we used an old website we had)
Please let me know if you have any questions. I dont anticipate we will be mucking around, if we see something we like we will most likely run with it straight away.

But, anyway.. I'll try to post something with the amount of works according to the budget..

Thanks Bogglins,
The buget for this project is $200, no $65.(that is just the deposit)
This is a great start. The image is wrong though. Most of the people who we are targetting are setting up their own business for the first time. Usually they have come fromcorporate backgrounds an are seeking to escape the image you have chosen (ie the partitioned desk space)
So I woul prefer an image of freedom..hence the suggestion of a man in a suit climbing a mountain, or walking along a beach.
Also - colourwise, something blue is probably going to work better, or at least a stronger colour.
Thanks so much for getting it started.
cheers

Robyn, the deposit needs to match the amount offered. I sent you an email about that to the address you used with PayPal.
Thank you :)

Thanks Bogglins, Thanks Erika, I appreciate the efffort.
Bogglins - much better image and colour. I cant really see at first glance that it is a mountain peak...and also is the figure going to stay like that, or are you planning on adding a suit or something?
Erika - I love the "altitude" feel, it captures the feelings felt by most people in business (exhilarating, but sometimes hard to breathe!)
The banner is good too.
One thing - Ideally I would like to appeal to men an women. I also dont want my image, so is it possible where you have the pic of the man to have a man and a woman ?
Then I woulkd like to see 2 version to choose from - one with them looking corporaty in suits, and one of them looking relaxed in casual or more groovy clothing.
*** I will be selecting one of these images tomorrow morning at 4.30 NYEST!!
Thanks guys

The amount offered is correct now. $200 has been deposited. Good luck Designer's :)
Hi Erika,
I am leaning towards the altitude metaphor. I would like to see a few changes, if they can be done in the next 12 hours. Then we will need to grab the image and send it to our web designer.
*Header*
I think number 2 is the strongest in terms of the positioning of the people's faces, their open look and the size of their headshots. But our demographic is men and women betwen 40 - 55. So if I could have something more appealing to that market that would be great.
Can I also have it to scale to 100% in a website instead of fixed width?
*eBook*
I like version B. But not with that image. They are looking down - I would prefer them to be looking up.
Thanks guys. I will check back here in 8 hours and see what I've got!
cheers
Robyn
Plus - hte ebook should be 3 dimensional liek the earlier versions

Hi Robyn,
Do you have any comment for my proposal?..
Thanks!

variation.. :)
Yes Bogglins - this is better. I didnt like the green - it looks too cheap and tacky. Gold is better. The man looks a bit strange, in many ways i like your first ebook design better.
thanks

Here are the revisions for the banner and book. The banner can be adjusted to be fluid in nature.

another one...
i keep trying the different approach of the design ..simple and memorable..
we can still remember the book, from its cover..
yes i knew that you asked to put the smiling faces of man and woman.. but then i was worried if that looks more like a family photo album.. :)
If we go with current theme we would like to see less mist - we want it to be a clear vision ahead of them not a cloudy one - we want it to seem easy not like climbing Mt Everest.
With the other one - the more we look at it, the more we like it. Can we please have the header so we can see what that would look like?
We like this more and more because it looks simple. It looks like it is going to be easy.
