(Admin code added by Palmer - 1MR96550YM738584F)

I'm not sure how to do this, I'm a pretty low tech girl, so I might need extra help!

I need a logo for a resale shop.

The logo should include:

store name: Smarty Pants

tagline: giving clothes a 2nd chance

Smarty Pants is a Jr. resale shop, so I'm looking for a very trendy, wild logo.

I like turquoise but am open to other colors that are current and popular with teens.

I don't know what I want, but here are a few things I don't want:

No cute type dress in the logo
no recycle symbol
no hanger
no baby-ish style
no animal prints

Hope this is enough info, probably not, so let me know what else you need.

Thanks,

Cathy

Can you capitalize the S and P, and maybe brighter turquoise, more like aqua and maybe lime green as the other color?

A pair of ripped jeans would be cool in the logo.

This is awesome, I had NO ideas and now just seeing a new idea from someone else is stirring up my brain cells , thanks!

Can we change the boutique to shop? I love the jeans. I also like the tag off the "y" but I think Pants would need to be a little bigger. Thanks!

How about a young, hip, shopping girl in the logo?

Thank you.

Thank you everyone!
eziey: Very clever using the jeans as the p in pants, that is definately in the running, but the cloth needs to be clothes.

Paula23: I really like the tag off the y but I would like to see it with the pants bigger. I also like the Burberry look of the reclined woman, but it's too grown up looking for my shop, but very cool in general.

This will be my outside sign, so I really need something very easy to read from far away, but still eye catching and fun.

Thanks!

I need this logo for an outdoor sign, and for letterhead, business cards, etc. It can be simple but trendy. I've been scouting all the junior shops in the mall, they all seem to have very simple logos. American Eagle, Abercrombie, Hollister etc. block letters, classic colors. Anyone interested in giving it another try? I love greens, and blues, turqoise, and browns. I also like surfer, beachy themes. Any other questions I could answer to get the perfect logo? Fire away! Thanks in advance!

One more fun one. Hope the hanger is okay since it's on the pants!

Okay msg. #20 can we ditch the pants, and make it one phrase across
"Smarty Pants" with resale shop underneath, same font same colors? Thanks

logoholic,

Could you use a more block letter font in the blue and green version? I'm not crazy about swirly font, but like the colors. Thanks!

After seeing all these options I realize, I like Smarty Pants side by side best, and not on top of eachother.

Also I've decided to have signs just saying "resale shop" as well as one saying "smarty pants resale shop".

Instead of "smarty pants giving clothes a 2nd chance" it should be "smarty pants resale shop".

Thanks for bearing with me, not sure what I wanted in the beginning.

Logoholic, can you change #30 from giving clothes a 2nd chance, to resale shop? I like that font and the way it looks like one phrase on smarty pants!

thanks!

Senter msg. #39 I like it. Can you make the colors "run" or fade like blue into turquoise into green maybe? Either left to right or top to bottom? Ignore me if impossible to do. Thanks!

I can do this for you. I am heading out for a while and will return in a bit. I will take care of this color revision when I return.

My only concern would be that in a Channel Letter sign this can not be reproduced. But in a printed Vinyl Cut sign it can. It just depends on what you are wanting for your storefront.

I won't be using a channel letter sign, but thanks for the advice, looking forward to checking it out!

message #38 can the resale shop be in the box somehow, I like the box, the font etc of smarty pants, but the resale shop at the bottom is too small and won't shop up well enough on a big sign. If it can't go in the box, can it be a different font? Thanks.

I have one other idea, and then I promise to pick one and leave you all alone for a while.

How about a chick...a "smarty pants" teen looking shopper w/ "smarty pants" on her t-shirt or something like that, not cutesy, instead funky, like look at me I'm a smarty pants b/c I shop at this cool store.

smartypantscathy
12-29-2006, 07:22 AM
:) Wow, thank you to all the designers who took time to submit ideas. There were so many good ones I had a terrible time choosing "The one".

Logoholic Message #55 will be the one I'm going with, but I'm wondering if I can get both words smarty and pants in green, and is it possible to also get "smarty pants resale shop" in that font without the box for my big outdoor sign?

Thanks again to everyone, this was a lot of fun, you all are very talented!

~Cathy

Hi thanks for the revisions.
#60 I want to use it on the door of my shop, I apologize for changing my mind constantly, but I can't visualize what it will look like at all until I actually see it. I believe it needs to be white letters for smarty pants in order to be seen quickly by cars passing thru the parking lot. I drove around looking at all the stores with window decals, and you can only read the ones with white letters.

#61 will be on a large white sign above my store and on a sign next to the expressway, smarty pants should be in blue to make it more readable as well.

Again, I really apologize, and appreciate your time. I struggle with what I like vs. what is best for being seen from the road.

Thank you so much, this should be the final revision!
