Hi Desiree, could you give a little more information regarding what kind of logo you are looking for? Maybe you could read some of the other first messages in the contest forum. Here are a few samples...

Aurora Builders interior, exterior and finish carpentry
Desiree Bolman Lic759578 (415)819-0714

My name is Desiree and I am a builder/contractor recently in business for myself. We do all types of carpentry but weigh in mostly with custom decks, fences and interior remodeling and finish work. I need a business card logo that is simple and smart looking and reflects our attention to detail. I chose the name Aurora - goddess of the dawn- because I wanted a strong female name for my company but it doesnt need to be indicated in the logo. I want to avoid looking too amzonian or hippieish on my business card .

Thankyou.

My due date is Aug.29.

Wow. This is great. I'm curious about how other colors might work with this... what do you think about green with eggplant? I am hoping to get a few more interested attempts at my site but am exited by this design.

Is this a better colour? Any other suggestions?

Is is a paint swatch? Is it a staircase? Is it a stack of 2x4s? All of the above!

I like these colors, they seem softer to me.

The star and shooting star is very appealing. I'm not an elaborate cursive kind of girl; probably more modern, but not as geometric ,as the second style. The green and tan is sort of working for me if it can complement your theme.
Thanks, Dez

I love everything about this logo-except the nails Partly it's because they look like roofing nails. I'm not sure what to suggest...maybe a roof line with some detail on the shingles or trim...something to indicate the finish aspect of our work which the rest of the logo can set off. We work in San Francisco, you know- lots of victorians and old houses, if that helps.

what do you think about the protractor idea in the circle of your first logo only a simple for real protractor instead of the animated A-woodgrain one. I like the first logo only without the nails ,or with different nails so can you try a substitution.??? I'm hoping that it will look cute on a tshirt too and reflect clean and simple with attention to detail. thanks.(sorry I cant get the roofing nail association separate from that image)

FYI - roofing nails are kind of short with big flat heads (exactly like your drawing) what about nails with smaller heads or a simple hand drawn protractor or,or,or.......? dez

Raja takes it with the nail logo-it's really great- any chance you could make the heads a little smaller. If not...ok but please respond on this issue. Can you put it into a business card format?
