Logo Design Assessment

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? The big red letters. (see fax) They Have to be red and they have to be "chain" letters. "ProActive Family Chiropractic"

What type of product or service do you offer? Chiropractic Healthcare

How long have you been in business? 9 Years but this is a brand new location in a new town.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? Attract lots of patients.

What are your long term goals? To have a practice which is so successful that others wish to model it.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? December 1. Sorry but the signmakers need to get busy.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience This is a new business.

Who would you like to add to your audience? People of all ages. Preferably entire families coming for care together. People who are interested in health and wellness and in living in an optimal state of health. Active people.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? This is mainly for my sign. What I have (see fax) is very "clip-arty" and generic. I want something that is contemporary and memorable. Something that says what I'm about. Of course, if it looks good then I will want it on everything (letterhead etc.).

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) The chain letters are required to be red by the landlord.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? I like the skier, weightlifter, cyclist and Karate guy that I put on there but I don't feel that they effectively protray family and/or wellness. Also, I don't want to alienate older individuals who might not do all of these things. If there was a way to incorporate an image of mountains into the background that would be good too.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? Health, wellness, optimal living, being able to do all the things you like to do but better because your spine and nervous system are functioning better. Also, our practice specializes in correcting spines not just relieving symptoms.

What is your tagline or slogan? A Healthy Spine Means a Healthier You

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? The health of your spine and nervous system is an essential component of one's overall wellness lifestyle. Nerve interference from a subluxated spine prevents a full expression of health and can contribute to health problems of all kinds.

Where will your new logo be used? Mainly on the sign but also on letterhead, business cards, shirts mailings etc.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? Most chiropractic logos are fairly generic and have pictures of spines or the little health angel logo which is the chiropractic equivelent of the serpent and staf used by medicine. I want to be different and emphasize the nervous system and quality of life.

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors? lifetime family wellness care

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: We help you regain and maintain your health through having a spine that is strong, healthy, and well-aligned.

The fax is at the bottom of the page. The large letters are (have to be) red.

here we go :)

That is so wierd. My original design had mountains exactly like that in it. I was originally moving to Colorado to open but some life changes forced me to stay in the northeatern PA area. I removed the mountains because they were going to be too hard to manufacture for the sign and they were going to take up room that we could otherwise use for the name on the sign. There are size restrictions. Anyway, I obviously like the way you think, but the mountains have already been ruled out. I would really like to incorporate the little little sports guys but in a way that would look artistic and not alienate non sporting types of patients (ie. elderly people).

I would love to see any other ideas you might have.

Joe

ok, no problem. I was just trying to fit your brief: "If there was a way to incorporate an image of mountains into the background that would be good too" :)

Hi again!

Maybe in this way? Showing the most popular activities - streching, running, jumping, climbing, etc. in a simple way, universal :)

This is good but the guys have to be in a "box sign" under bubble "chain letters".

Ok so you are needing a Gem Lite backlight sign design correct? If I am reading your previous comments this is what you are wanting this design for.

It would honestly be more cost efficient with most sign companies to do individual channel letters with a backlight sign underneath. Unless your sign company is totally different.

that chain letters is what i'm looking for. the chain leters are a requirement of thelandlordbut a box type sign for the logo underneath the chain letters is acceptable. that is why i'm really just looking for an improved version of what i submitted. i like your ideas so see if youcan come up with something similar but prettier.

I'm not 100% sure what the chain letters are (some language problems at my side I think) but I hope you'd like this.
