This project is for a logo for a site yet to be launched called PugSpot. It's a site that revolves around...yes...Pugs.
I'm looking for an illustrative logo (more than just type treatment). Some sort of illustrated/cartoonish pug is preferable with the text "PugSpot" somewhere.
Color scheme should be that of a fawn colored pug, which is black/dark-brown and sort of a beige/tan color. Here's a Google Image (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=fawn+pug&btnG=Search+Images) search if you need some guidance on the colors.
The deadline for this is December 13, 2006.
Target audience are pug owners which tend to be around 25-50...fairly broad audience.
I look forward to seeing what you can do!
Welcome,

Hi Titania! Thanks for your entry! A couple of thoughts:
1) The illustrations of the pugs are cute...but something about their smiles just says "evil pug" to me. :P Not sure how to fix that, but that's the vibe I'm getting right now.
2) Also, could you possibly try maybe 2-3 different type treatments? I like the playfulness of those but would love to see some other type ideas.
Thanks!

Hi Bill, thanks for your entry!
Could you possibly try something with a more playful and cartoonish typeface?

Hey Paula, thanks for your entry!
A couple of things:
1) What are the extra 3 dots by the pug image?
2) Could we try some different colors? Something a little less "girly" (no offense) and more neutral?

Hi Pieter. Thanks for your entry. At this point I'm just not really feeling anything about your entry. The typeface isn't really playful at all and the Pug just doesn't really look anything like a Pug.

Hi Pieter. The pug still doesn't look anything like a pug (maybe more lizard than anything) and you've still got the serif typeface in there.

Eziezy, you are right on the money with that typeface. It's PERFECT. :)
At this point I like the pug you have, but I'm totally sold on it. Could you possibly try something without the disproportional head, or maybe just the head?
Thanks! It's looking great!
