Hi all - back again with a need for a new logo for a brand new 501(3)c non-profit called Cinco Charities, based in Katy, Texas.

Our organization was founded by our local Keller Williams real estate office to 'leave a legacy' for our local community. Our local community will be home to four new hospitals in the next few years and it's our dream to build a 'Ronald McDonald House' type of building where families of sick children have a place to stay free while their children are in the hospital. We're developing a website as well as a LOT of printed materials and are in need a GREAT logo.

For purposes of the logos, it should include any of the following colors:

KW® Red: (MUST BE USED)
Hex: #B40101
RGB: 180-1-1

Dark Red:
Hex: #990000
RGB: 153-0-0

Khaki:
Hex: #EFEFDE
RGB: 239-239-222

Taupe:
Hex: #A19F91
RGB: 161-159-145

Light Taupe:
Hex: #DFDFD9
RGB: 223-223-217

Gray 1
Hex: #333333
RGB: 51-51-51

Gray 2
Hex: #666666
RGB: 102-102-102

Gray 3
Hex: #999999
RGB: 153-153-153

Gray 4
Hex: #CCCCCC
RGB: 204-204-204

Gray 5
Hex: #F2F2EE
RGB: 242-242-238

Gray 6
Hex: #F5F5F5
RGB: 245-245-245

Black:
Hex: #000000
RGB: 0-0-0

We're pretty much wide open on concept, but we would like to see some submissions in both portrait and landscape ideas. The logo will need to include primary wording of Cinco Charities as well as the tag phrase of "building a community of care and support". We would also like to see some kind of graphic included that says 'community, support, care, families, etc.

We don't want the logo to be TOO focused on 'building a house' as this is our immediate goal, but WILL NOT be the only project we take on in the future and we'll need this logo to remain relevant.

For more inspiration, here is some basic info:

Mission Statement:
Building a Community of Care and Support

Vision:
To provide temporary housing in our community with a warm, safe environment for individuals and their families who are hospitalized or receiving treatment for serious medical conditions.

We are in a mad rush for this, so please submit your ideas ASAP!

Thanks,
Brian.

Pracus -

I really like the idea - but it seems to me the 'people' seem more like a concert or celebration. any thoughts on how to make it say 'community support' more?

Two interlocking "c's" representing hands of support.

Taldo - now I have two designs I like... dang. couple of thoughts -

1. the tagline seems too small
2. what are your thoughts on a thin gray outline around the c's?

just thinking.

for everyone else - come on - let's see your ideas!

Pracus & Taldo - fantastic job on both the logos. Our committee will be voting on these on the 8th.

Senter - we look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Everyone else - we'd love to see what you can come up with!

Djaka - we really don't want to focus on the house for the logo - more comfort, caring, support - that type of thing. Also - i think the group likes all caps or all lowercase more than mixed. good first effort!

pracus - our group has requested to see what this logo might look like with a more formal font, simpler font. any thoughts?

more formal or simpler? that is a big difference. more formal font (I mean probably serif font) will not be simpler and it would be hard to incorporate the background of this sign - the people.
but if you really need it than there is no problem, I can try :)

The board met this morning and have narrowed their choice to Taldos design - BUT will compare it to any NEW designs between now and the close of this contest on the 8th. Please submit any new options soon as we WILL be making a final decision on the 8th.

Taldo - can we see what your v2 looks like with a darker gray border, divider and byline? The board is concerned about how it looks when printed.

Thanks all - and bring on your best!
Brian.

Hey

Mine is a somewhat softer approach, my idea is to capture the warmth of communities
and charities in a mark that uses the “C”s in the name as a visual cue.

Hope you like it:)

Two Cs forming a caring heart. Lasting icon for sure.
