We're opening a new part of our photo studio.

This part of the studio works with photo sessions with females, age 18-35 that wants to give their boyfriend or husband a set of erotic photos.

As we approach the "ordinary girl" and neither pro. models nor businesses, we REALLY eager to :

1. Show that we're pro with years of experience
2. But at the same time take a little bit of the "too serius" out of it. Many girls have to have a little self ironic thing to it, before going to a photographer to have pictures taken of their more private parts

We haven't decided any colours yet, but as most of our pictures are either black and white or very "dreamy" colored photos, we're not looking for something "agressive" colored.

We'd like the "selv ironic" part to be built into the logo and one of my own ideas was to incorporate a set of devils horns and angels halo or angels wings.

The name is "Diva Modelfoto" (modelfoto is danish for photos of models) and Diva underlines that we want to make the clients "hot and attractive" on our photos.

This is our first job on disign post - I already paid 200$ for the assignment but I'm not sure what happens now :)

A subtle "stripped down" version of the letters

Might I just add that the letter A in "Diva" cannot have the halo on top because it turns it into another danish special character :)

Revised version with the halo off the A. Thanks.

and a version with the devil horns.

I'm afraid that the devil/angel "thing" is a little to much  It reminds me a little to much of shops with sex toys :)

It was just one of our ideas, but please don't let it limit you.

No problem. Version 3 didn't have those elements. Here's another approach.

#15: we like the A without the middle-line (like an up side down V) but not the colored version.

Okay, just a quick round up:

1. the devils horn/tail thing is not the right signals to send for us - it's too much :)
2. #5 (the split up DM) has something to it - it's more of a logo than just writing it with logo'ish fonts.
3. #10 (the body) could work okay, as a posing model is what we actually work with - this one just looks more like a commercial for a chiropractisian or some health-thing.
4. #11 is way to "harsch" - it's a little to "metal rock" like
5. #12 + 13 - we like it in one way because it looks nice, round, female'ish, but it's not strong or obvious enough, what the lines are
6. #14 is our favorite yet - the green color is a little too cold, but nice in a way and the doodle-wings are great - the "modelfoto" text is a litle awquard, though
7. #15 : the A without the middle line is great - makes me think of the expensive BULGARI jewels :)

#18: The floral aperture = clever input! We like it, but I guess it would have to look MORE like an aperture / lense. Even as a photographer myselv, I didn't get the point before i read your description.....!

Here is a slightly revised version. I also have another idea I'm fooling around with, I'll try and post that shortly.

Thanks for your quick feedback! We all really appreciate it!

Something a little bit edgey :)

Fabian:

Great interpretation of our assignment!

The old "pin up style" girls are great and so is the "suicide girls tatoo style" part of the logo. Partly because most of our clients have tatoos.

The DIVA is a little too much like the old wild west or too "Broadway"-fonts like, though.

Thanks for the new version - I still don't find that the lense-point is obvious enough. I just showed it someone who hadn't heard of the photo studio in the first place and her (!) first reaction was: "What's that?"

Something a little bit edgey :)

Fabian: would it be possible for you to make a version that is wider than tall - a horisontal based version?

Fabian

Hey,

a horisontal based version :)

Something a little bit edgey :)

We've decided on Fabians "edgy pin up girl" version.

The reason for this, is that the pin up girls and tribal tatoo sends the right signals for us - "the girl next door with a wish of giving herself to her boyfriend as a pin up". It requires some of the same courage as when they chose to go through the pain of having those tribal tatoos on their back hips, that are so popular.

Thanks to everyone for entering - this is most definately NOT the last time we use DesignOutpost!
