Hello Everyone,
You all did such a great job last time that I've returned. Please take a look at my web site http://www.yeswebmaster.com . Notice the logo in the header, but ignore the background behind it.
I like the concept of my logo very much, and actually designed it myself, however I'm looking for something in a better font, and the main thing is to make the symbol more aerodynamic if you will.
The page with the turned corner and check mark on it with the trail should be wavy, 3D, or angled. If you have any questions, ask away.
The contest ends Sunday August 31st, but could end sooner if I find one that I want to stick with before that.
Good luck everyone, I look forward to seeing your work.
Thanks,
Jonathan P.

Something like this?

Something like that, but more smooth. I don't really care for the font either. Not a bad first try though. Maybe play with the colors so it looks 3d rather than it just being one color. Do shades and shadows.

Yes, closer. I still don't really like the font.
So is anyone gonna give dynagirl some competition or what?

Thanks for the entries so far.
I'd like to see some entries where the logo is just not one color (yellow). By that i mean, fade it, use color to show shadow, not just opacity. Also try making the logo look more like a flag in the wind. Maybe try having it folding over itself a little bit.
I just want the concept kept, don't feel like you have to use the existing logo so much, just the concept.
Keep 'em rollin'.

I put these together to give you guys an example of what might work. Obviosly they need to be smoother and nicer, but i'm just showing you don't have to stick with that exact logo, just the concept.

i didn't think it would take 1 week to a month to process the Design Team. Spose everyone is busy etc. Shame i put so much time and effort into it. :( Also one of the links in the quide lines doesn't work.

It doesn't take that long to "process" it. It can take that long or longer to be invited and most do not get invited. We only have the best, most professional, and most experienced designers here. Our standard of quality is very high.
Spose everyone is busy etc. Shame i put so much time and effort into it. :(
Maybe if you would of read the sticky note that says in big bold letters "Designers, before entering a contest, please read this", you wouldn't of wasted your time.
Also one of the links in the quide lines doesn't work.
That's because it's in the designer's private forum which you do not have access to.
Please do not interfere with this contest thread anymore. If you have an issue with the way we run this site, you can contact one of the staff by private message.
Thanks

Is this logo going to be for web use only or also for print?

Web and print. I was excited to see all of the replies but disappointed when I saw there was not a single entry. Unless some entries come in soon I will have to cancel the contest due to lack of interest.
There's plenty of interest in the illegal entry, but little in my contest :help:

Thanks for the entires everyone.
Dynagirl - I like it, much better, much closer to what I'm looking for. The font I do not like much. Maybe do something closer to JulieT as far as the font goes. I really do like the shape, I'm not sure what you can do to make the fold over the corner a little bit better, maybe agle the fold a bit as well. Can you show me the logo without the shadow too, just so I can see.
ElKootcho - You did keep the concept which I like, however it just seems a bit plain or maybe too blocky for me. Also, I'd like it all on one level like Dynagirl, and not have the actually logo be above the text. The font I don't really like. Please have another try, I like how you "think outside the box". I really like how the paper is flat the check mark is sort of 3d, go with that, maybe just make the page more like some of the others, and have the check mark stand out like that, I think that would look great.
Thanks everyone, keep 'em comming!

I worked on the folded corner a bit and I think it stands out more now. Here are some samples, with and without the shadow (new font too, but if you dont' like this one, I can try others):

All I have to say is WOW :o
Dynagirl and Raja have sumbitted some great logos. Both are different, but both are outstanding. One is exactly what I was looking for with some flare, and one is exactly what i'd want a simple logo to be.
No more revisions for now, I'm gonna have to do some thinking, and ElKootcho, if you want to make this an even thougher decision than it's already going to be, feel free to sumbit again with some revisions.
Thanks everyone!

Dynagirl - I have no more suggestions for you at this time, great job.
Raja - I would like to see your entry with a corner turned to it can be identified as a page. Also maybe try a check mark.
Great work guys and gals.
hi!
tried the checkmark, too cheesy in my opinion so I left it out. I debated adding the page corner as well, personally I would loose it. :)
I know your not supposed to fight with girls but, oh well :box:
a little mod' on the mark

I have chosen with the approval of DO to end the contest early. It seemed that nobody else was going to enter, and I don't think anyone can top what Raja and Dynagirl did. Both of you did a FANTASTIC job. I'm sorry there can only be one winner.
and that is.....
Raja, congratulations!
Dynagirl-I really do want to thank though, you did exactly what I had in mind, and it looks great. Raja surprised me with his entry, it was not what I expected, but I loved it. Dynagirl, I know close only counts in horseshoes, but I just want to thank you, and wish you good luck in future contests. You're a terrific designer.
Thanks to everyone who entered.
