It feels really good to be back here again. I plan to deliver more prize dollars than ever before; as this project is the most important project to me to date. I have been off schedule in the past, but now with many supporting personnel, things are going as planned. Here is the details of this project:

First off; the artists here are all exceptional... Thank You to every artist, it has always been hard to choose a winner.

PROJECT: PrecisionDealer.com

The logo does not require the website name to be included in the design, but if incorporated it would be nice. This will be the most demanding conceptual design. There may be a lot of complicated terms, just focus on the most important points. If you have any questions, please post them. Bottom line; this is a company that shows automotive dealerships how to do business better by increasing profits through customer satisfaction.
------------------------------
About the Company:
Precision Dealer is a consultant company devoted to the art and science of how automotive dealerships manage day to day operations in all departments. Value is realized by increasing Revenue through Predictable Operations (RPO) and decreasing Total Cost of Operation (TCO).

RPO – Revenue through Predictable Operations is achieved through documenting and standardizing department operations and procedures. Upper management enforces expectations through published documentation within the organization; while technology delivers enforcement tools through automatic department escalation tools along with accountability and measurement tools for upper management to enforce expectations. RPO guarantees that employee turnover will have a minimal impact on operations.

What is TCO? Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is a financial estimate designed to help consumers and business operators to assess direct and indirect costs related to the purchase of any capital investment, such as (but not limited to) parts delivery trucks or network hardware. A TCO assessment ideally offers a final statement reflecting not only the cost of purchase but all aspects in the further use and maintenance of the equipment, device, or system considered.

Hi J,

With the inference of automotive dealing in the domain and business name, I took the liberty of not including an image directly associated with cars.

Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers,

Paul

First off; I want to thank every artist that has been bold enough to be a starter... You are my most appreciated artists!

I know that logo designs are usually a competition, but I see this as more of a team effort. I have been here before several times and my prize awards generally speak as such.

I would have to say right away that Ratbaggy has brought to light an important idea. The focus of the design is not "car" dependent. I would have to say that the logo should be about the relationship of dealership business vision through customer satisfaction coupled with refined technology investments. This does not mean that "car" or "road" or "dealership" designs are excluded, but themes are not exactly required. I am looking for artist vision and interpretation of the idea.

I know this is not the standard company looking for a simple "lawn care" or "coffee shop" design. This will be a design that will ask every artist to "think outside the box".

I brag to other companies about the artists here at Design Outpost, that is why I could think of no other place that could do justice to a bold business idea. :D

Thanks to all the great artisits that have made submissions at the start of this project, you help mold a thought.

I feel that the concept logo design should have great detail, but not to busy. The direction of the company is to bring better business performance through refining and documenting business operations.

No "fat" or "open ended" designs. The messege should be apparent by design, as well as intense and memorable so it is hard to forget.

I have made changes to the original prize post and terms:

I liked many entrees, but skyvee version_04 presented the best message of concept. I am not a fan of the bolt and nut design, but the skyvee design was the best message of precision dealer so far.

I have extended deadlines, and prize postings will climb much higher... Don't get left out!

Here's my concept. :)

Double P, the one formed by the arrows and the tail and the one from the negative space -> precision.

Green arrow RPO, Blue arrow TCO. The gradation means that this process is achieved in multiple steps.

The eagle nail or scorpion tail indicate the precision, aggressive business and the fact that the results are what u've expected (spot on, "deadly").

The negative P means that you deal with "delicate business" and only the right company can see all the ins and outs of it and that's YOU.

Cheers,
Adrian

I run my contests different from most other clients. I have several full time graphic artists on payroll in the office everyday. I come to Design Outpost when I need a design that is a notch higher. The talent here is awesome.

The winners of this project will fullfill the need. The concept of the project is what I am looking for. A graphic representation of an entire business model. Upon first glance the logo presents a powerful statement of the mission promise.

Post your concepts, the grand prize winner will be chosen on Feb 14th.

Goodmorning Jstutchman,

Thanks for the link to ‘Trunkmonkey’, beening from Australia I have never seen that before. Cheers

Using the ‘P and D’ to represent precision in a clever way, the branding concept in mind is everyone is left smiling.

Thanks

Thanks for the invite.

This last design is the most effective.
- Negative space to form P D combination.
- 3D aspect.
- Red + white + black forming a target - precision.

Do hope you like as much as I.

Who created the first light bulb?

In 1820 Warren De La Rue placed a coil made of platinum into an empty tube and allowed an electric current to pass through to form the first known proto-light bulb
