(Admin code added by Palmer - U707742M)
I've just got another domain for a product so I need a logo.
The product does mobile SMS or Blackberry to email like Outlook with a reply path so 2-way messaging.
I need something corporate looking, so think IBM and Microsoft. My main site is very clean, www.elephantservices.net, so it needs a bit of colour but must fit in.
The rest is up to you.
Got to be Quick as I want it on my site by the end of the week!!

Sorry forgot to mention that the product name is going to be "EveryMessage".

Thanks for such a prompt response and early entry! I like the design as a whole however I do have a couple of concerns:
1) I would like to introduce flash into the design in the near future and I think that my options might be limited using this design?
2) I am a little concerned that the font used for message might not be so clear when resizing for everyday use?
Thanks
Daniel

All
So that I may get an idea of the number of people whom are interested in putting together a design could you please register some interest, as I require a design quickly I havent set a deadline, however I would like to give all those interested time to enter.
Thanks

Thank you all for the flurry of attempts. Here goes for some feedback.
Taldo,
I do like the simple approach and this could in time be turned in to flash, I'm not sure if it's too simple but good. Third one down is the best font.
2 Square,
I like the @ in message but the colors don't work for me. Maybe change the color red / grey and follow the @ with an actual mobile as one of the characters.
J Design
This is clean but it reminds me of a competitors logo and that can't be done.
Raja,
Don't like the colors or the logo - sorry
Elkootcho
Too simple and plain.
Everyone
This logo should be clean but stick in your mind??
The rest is up to you.
Many thanks

Hi, which did you prefer in font #1 or #2? And are you saying change the colours to red & grey and somehow incorporate a mobile symbol in the design?
Thanks

Taldo,
Just a thought, could you please try to incorporate an envelope (as in mail) into the symbol but carry through the "e" arrow in the same clean and simple design?
I was thinking that using flash this could then emerge from within the envelope?
Thanks

More feedback
Sorry Dynagirl, I'm not too hot on the first design, it looks like you have spent a lot of time on the work but it just doesn't do it for me. The second design is not catchy enough either although more simple. Somthing in between but not derived from either.
Radical, Not it either I'm afraid.
2 Square, thats looking much better, could you tidy up the text font a bit make it cleaner please.
My favorites at the moment are the taldo arrows and the last post from 2 Square.
Many thanks, I will try and keep the feedback prompt.

Another font, i was thinking of puting you company logo (the elephant 'e') as a replacement for the 1st 'e' in 'every' what are your thoughts?

That's actually a little further away, I did like the way the @ sign was the phone display previously now they seem a little detached, can you put make it the display again and soften the logo but make it clean.
I hope that makes sense.
Taldo
Again moving slightly toward making the logos seperate, it needs to look integrated as one logo.
Thank you.

Everyone, I conscious that I may appear rude by not giving a better explanation of what is wrong or right, I'm afraid I'm switching between development of the product and this forum, hence the short replies and short concentration span.
Just a note to everyone to say thank you for your efforts they are appreciated.
Here goes again,
Taldo
I like this more now it's central - The envelope idea in a flash logo for the future may have been the e apearing, I'm not sure that this would work but that's not part of this contest. Let me think on this logo.
Dyna Girl
I like this one more than the previous, for some reason and I can't put my finger on it this logo says budget service. My brand is trying to be corporate and flexible. I don't suppose that helps much but I like the arrows showing 2 way messages.
2 Square
Not a problem I'm trying to find the words to express my thoughts but it's quite difficult so sorry and thankyou for your patience. When I say clean I mean corporate and a smooth font, similar to the look that Taldo has, very clean is the way I would describe it. Now I know that your design is an illustration but if the lines were smoother, the font more even it may be closer to what I am looking for.
oh, nearly forgot the "e" shouldn't be the elephant "e" as this is a product for resellers.
You guys are good, please give it your best shot I would choose today if I could.
Michael
08-19-2003, 01:58 PM
Thank you I think I understand now, you like the idea of the @ sign as the 'a' and also incorporated in the phone display but you prefer the font to be more corporate, am I right in thinking that?
..and by the way I don't think you're being rude we understand that you are busy and any feedback is appreciated.

hi meany : :lol2:
this lends itself to a Flash treatment rather well

Raja
Like the humor, not the design. Only kidding, this is closer, nice and simple, could be flash, I guess the arrows show 2-way communication. It is a little plain but that's not such a bad thing.
Radical
Sorry none of these fit the bill, think IBM or Microsoft as the kind of client I am trying to attract, that may help you in understanding what I mean when I say corporate clean and simple. These logos would attract the SME market place.
2 Square,

Elkootcho
OK, cleaner with the circling arrows but not quite polished, the others focus on the e too much.
Dynagirl
I like the light catching the "e", and the logo is much cleaner, the e is not really relavent though and shouldnt be the focus of the logo.
2 Square
I really liked the @ symbol as a phone display which you have moved away from. The font also seems elongated, is there any way you could post another example but use the font like Raja's last post.
You are sliping back to small business look rahter than corporate. Sorry.
Raja
Clean simple, I prefer the one with the logo central, I'm not sure how this will be sized down or fit the product.
Hypnosis
Option 2 & 4 stand out more than the rest but the colors aren't to my taste.
Everyone, the "e" is not significant and may be a problem as I think most people think on e-commerce as a failed venture almost. e business is a phrase of the past. No more focus on the "e" please.
The objects that are ok so far are the "mobile device / phone" "@" "arrows for 2 way", not necessarily all of these but I hope that puts you on the right track.
Thank you.
Meanie

I guess if I have to explain the "e" concept, I didn't get it across very well in the design. But since I liked it so much, I want to explain it anyway ;)
It was a combination of the E (from "every") and the @ symbol. So, it wasn't meant as an e-commerce "e"--just a hybrid symbol representing "every message".

Sorry for the leave of absence everyone, things got pretty tough this week.
Feedback, after a debate yesterday there a a couple of possibles, just minor alteration.
Raja, your globe without the tail is looking hopeful - the feedback it that it may need cleaning up so that the arrows stand out on a white background without the slight smudging. Maybe put a bit of a shine on it?
ElKootch, the Elephantised look appeals to me, the cloors look a little dull with the text, could you sharpen up the image with Red?
2 Square, sorry this is probably going down the wrong track, it looks more SME than coporate messaging.
Radical, sorry neither appeal, the reemind me of London Transports logo I guess.
Thanks

Hi everyone
I like some of the logo's but somehow they just don't look finished. As you all know I am trying for the corporate market but the inspiration for the product doesn't come through.
I have looked at some of your profiles and there is some amazing work, that makes it harder, I guess I'm just to close to the product.
One last try and I will have to select someone as I have to submit patent this week including logo.
Please, Please, Please have a look and see if any one can pull this together,
The inspiration is;
2 way messaging, very fast, convenient and efficient, companies are going to save bundles of cash with this.
Many thanks and sorry for not being able to choose.
