Hello All!

First and foremost I would like to thank anyone and everyone that enters our contest. I am sure every logo will be amazing!

My name is Julio E. Montolio and I own a restaurant in Boston. I am looking for a Logo for my restaurant.

Restaurant name: Boston Brickhouse: Restaurant & Lounge

Colors: I am fairly open to many different color schemes. However, the logo will be going on our sign outside. The background color of the sign is going to be Ivory or a light Ivory. Earth tone color.
If a designer can make a Blue/Red Logo look good on Ivory that would be amazing. Get the true Bostonian colors going.

Look/Feel: The best way I can describe the restaurant is TGIF. Very fun and hip. Caters mostly to young professionals and families. We want a logo to be cozy, warm, but at the same time sophisticated. A logo that displays our family restaurant but also sheds light into our late night lounge. A very brand able logo would be key as well. The possibility of franchising has been discussed. The usage of a City skyline would be cool, but like I said this contest is as open as most you will encounter. Truly open to options.

Requirements: EPS (vector) I am assuming that is standard around here.

*The rest is copied by my Sign Makers:

- Images must be scaled to actual size and no less than 300 DPI

- All fonts included

- All original files included.

- I am sure all the logo’s will far exceed this bare minimum requirements.

Due Date: Tuesday, January 2nd 2006 (Possible extension - Just working on a deadline ourselves.)

Payment: $150.00 USD

Happy Designing,

Cheers,

Julio E. Montolio.

Thank you for posting the project. Since we're taking signage into account, do you have any dimensions we need to stick to? Is your sign size predetermined? Horizontal/vertical? The more information we have up front the better.

- All fonts included

Hi Julio!

I'm affraid this is not possible.
Mostly we are not entitled to redistribute fonts that we didn't make ourself. I'm affraid you'd have to buy them. Unless you choose a design which was made by our fonts :)

That is fine. I will purchase the font if need be.

- No other specs I just spoke with the Sign Agent, if the logo is 100% scalable it should be fine.

Senter,

I really like. I love the blend of colors and how it almost looks like the logo is on wood. Could you keep that concept and then make another the same but adding a skyline? Keeping the whole color scheme, and wood feel. Would love to see that.

Logoholik,

I must admit I dont really like that concept. I just dont see the potential to fully brand that logo and move it the way we want to. Sorry. Maybe a new concept?

Thanks Guys.

Great Logo Guys.

I will have a post for changes in concepts in a bit.

Jmonto

OffbeatDesign - We find that the logo is just way to fancy, almost for a hotel rather than a fun family oriented restaurant. I think another concept would be best.

BlueCherryGraphics - concept 1. We like the concept, however it just seems to generic. Maybe make the bricks more authentic/higher opacity.

concept 2. We are actually torn between this logo. My partner loves it, while I am a bit unsure about it. Could you please add some more red, have more of a secondary color in addition to the blue. Also, try different fonts.

Senter- We loved Concept 5. Could you please try making Brickhouse the same size as Boston while increasing the size of Restaurant and Lounge. Then, trying another one with those same changes AND taken off the top Star/part of logo.

Senter - Could you please do one with out the top part of the logo and making the Boston and BrickHouse the same size?

Paula23 - I would love to see a version with out the leafs/trees.

joshuamings - Anyway to make the logo more casual? It almost feels to corporate.

BlueCherryGraphics - concept 2. We are actually torn between this logo. My partner loves it, while I am a bit unsure about it. Could you please add some more red, have more of a secondary color in addition to the blue. Also, try different fonts.

We will be deciding tommorow morning! Hope to see all edits and additions to the contest!

Thanks!

Great Work guys!

Excuse me dearly, Fabian.

I actually really liked it and wanted to see if you could change the color. Its just to green. Could you make it more tan? IvorY?

Could I ask, do you want a dark jade or more
of a bright lime green?

Paul 23 Version 4. Is our pick.

Thanks everyone for the incredible designs/logos, but in the end we just felt Paula's design hit home everything we invisioned. Paula congratulations and thank you for your excellent design.

Paula, we are going to need one more modification - We need the "Lounge" taken off.
