Our company is Revenue Enhancement Strategies, Inc. We are a consulting firm focused on helping hospitals improve their revenue through changes in their billing and collection processes. The firm is comprised of a team consultant’s expert in their area which can comprehensively address a hospitals Revenue Cycle.

We are looking for a clean, professional looking logo. The logo will be used on business cards, on PowerPoint presentation and other documents. We are thinking about 3 color logo.

Hi all,
Great work..... this is goi.ng to be hard, I now have our whole company giving feedback. Gaining concensus will be hard. Oh yeah I guess I'm the one with the username so I'll just pick the winner I like. ;)

westiwest - first entry is too unstructure. We help people implement policies and procedure. Falling down letters doesn't convey the message.

coredesign -- we like the abstract, in particular the arrow one. The arrow colors could be bolder. The name got a little lost. The pink one with the cross in the center did not get good reviews.

celle -- you're getting good feedback from many reviewers, some said you seemed to capture the healthcare feel of our company. I think the image is a little feminine.

dynagirl -- I like both yours they are very professional looking. I like the image on the left and text on the right. I mention some colors below, give those a try.

Taldo -- Like it, but we're not sure we want to use RES as someone else has it in their domain name...and may be trademarked.

General -- I've gotten feedback that we could try incorportate $ signs. I'm a lvery concerned about it looking tacky, need to keep the professionalism. I more like the idea of using upward motion since we increase revenue for people.

For colors I did get a suggestion to try some light and dark gold. Our fearless leader (company founder) swas once called Midas by one of our clients because everything she touched turned to gold.

Thanks again for all your great ideas.

Julie

Here I've used the silhouette of a bird to represent that upward motion.

All -- Liked Elkootcho tag line, enhancing the bottom line.

Elkootcho_2 - Like to red moving to a black, how would this on a business card.

Core design like #2, could you try a green (color of money) instead of the blue.

Dynagirl - Like to circle with the shadow on the square though we told you gold, might be looking a little weak.

Taldo - Think you did a good job with the $ sign.....

Let me try some of that agian, trying to do to many things at once.

Dynagirl - Like the one with the circle and shadow and also the square. Though we told you we would like to try gold after seeing it might look too weak. Would be interested in seeing some other colors.

Thanks, I was just concerned because of your design with the circle and curvy lines through it, tho you didn't have any text in the circle I thought I'd better check.

Things look great! We're really impressed with all of these very creative and unique ideas you guys have come up with!

Only two more days until the contest ends...let's see if we can get some more new ideas (and new participants?) out there.

As for the ones we have, here are a few suggestions...

Eckootcho: I really like the red and black cross-like image with the black corner piece pointing up to the right. Let's see if I can explain an idea I have for it...could you try superimposing a dollar sign into the black triangle. The dollar sign should be substantial in width as is the cross shape. It could also be made with black, thin, horizontal lines in the white area and thin, white, horizontal lines in the black area. In this way, it wouldn't be too blunt of a dollar sign, but rather secondary to the bolder, red image. Thank you!

dynagirl: could we try the four square logo in gold and black. You did already do this one in two tones of gold, but I'd like to see it with a brighter (a bit more yellow) gold with black (instead of the darker gold). Thanks.

coredesign: The up arrow logo ends up looking a bit "environmental". I know we asked to see it in green...do you think this is why it ends up looking like a little forest? I do like the image...maybe a little experimenting with colors or font?

Hello. Here's an idea I had for your project.

I've tried to think of a way to incorporate the $ sign but in a fresh new way. I took the symbol and simply added upward arrows to it. It creates a simple branding mark for your company. Right away I think you get it.

There are two versions of the mark. One is a little freer in motion which helps give your very corporate name a little more warmth. And the other, created using the italic "s" from the typeface, is meant to emphasize the strength and equity in your name.

Let me know what you think.

Again, our thanks to all - we are happy with all the entries and although we are all over the place with our recommendations and feedback (that's why we aren't in your business) your ideas have given us some clarity about what we ultimately want.

Elkootcho - Thanks for making suggested revisions......interesting. We'll solicit opinions from our team to determine which they prefer ($ or not).

I think the red and black colors have meaning for our company suggesting we take hospitals from the red into the black from a bottom line perspective. We've suggested other colors as we've been experimenting with a number of logos, especially gold but the gold just isn't getting good reviews from the team.

Coredesign - can you try your latest in red and black with the red arrows moving up to black?

Sparkie - sorry we didn't comment on your entry. Everyone of us loved the creativity and originality of your entry but we aren't sure this should be our corporate logo. However, we have not completely ruled it out - we think we could have some fun with this for marketing items like magnets and other items.

Wiseguy - very interesting - We're still hoping we can tactfully use a dollar sign and we appreciate your ideas but think it doesn't have enough substance (if that makes sense). Can you add to the design to have it make more of a statement - liked the bolding of enhancement....

Just G - We need to use our entire corporate name - which if we had to do over would be shorter but it is what it is and we really need the entire name.

2Square and wwwzone - your entries used RES which we posted a comment stating that is something we need to stay away from as we believe it is already copyrighted. Also, the logos were too abstract and we couldn't make a connection to the type of business we do.....any other thoughts for us?

Taldo - Your entry with the dollar sign appeals to a number of us.

Dynagirl - thanks for all your revisions. We've talked a lot about your entries - like a number of them a lot. Color choices - can you try some red and black and maybe mock up a business card like Elkootcho did?

Just today and tomorrow left in the contest - if you make changes or new entries we'll devote time today to reviewing the website and giving you feedback so we can choose a winner tomorrow - You all are very talented - thanks!

raja - love the first one. Any chance you can tweak it to make the base of the arrows red and the tips black in keeping with the red to black theme? The dollar sign didn't grab me but thanks for trying to incorporate the $. I'm still hoping we can get this into the logo somehow.

Chelle - Nice to hear from you again. I like the bolder colors but I'm afraid my partner will still think it's too feminine. Any ideas using $ and/or symbols of upward motion in red and black?

2square - Now you're on to something! I like it alot! How would the upward line look with the dollar sign through it, making the $ a little more noticable but not taking over center stage, rather than having the $ in the point of the arrow? Thanks!

Thanks Taldo. Your's was the only one I liked in gold but the red and black looks good. One fear I have is that the $ might look too much like an S and lose its meaning. We know it's a $ but anyone not included in the creation of it might not notice and tie it to the S in Strategies - any thoughts on making it be more obviously a $ without messing with it too much (cause I really do like it alot).

We are going to have a very difficult time choosing just one! You are all awesome!

I originally used the red and black for that exact reason: many hosipitals operate in the red and the up arrow moves you into the black. I'm not sure about the dollar sign though. To me it has a negative connotation.

Wow! I go do some work for a few hours and I'm flooded with GREAT stuff while I'm away. My phone has been ringing with calls from staff excited about the latest submissions.

Raja - You are getting excellent marks for the color of money and the red and black dollar sign entry - Outstanding! Only thing is the spelling of "Strategies"

Dynagirl - Your business card view is awesome! It's a very professional and clean is just just what we started out looking for. The shadowing on the business card adds a great dimension. It helps so much to see a more finished product, especially for those of us who have no creative gift or vision.

We like all the other revisions made today....and we THANK ALL OF YOU! We plan to take a final poll of our staff (only 6 of us) tomorrow afternoon....we're in Boston so that's EST.. We will have a very difficult decision making a final selection - we have about 6 very different finalists....so far.
