View Full Version : Church T-shirt design
Hello, and thanks in advance. I have scanned some of the other posted work here and am highly impressed. Could you please help me also?
Our church is in the process of designing our new t-shirt design. We want a large two color logo to go on the front of an ash colored t-shirt. So far the only imput I have is that it needs to have a Bible in it and a cross. Our church name is Fellowship Baptist Church, West Windsor, NJ.
Thanks again and have a great day.
Dawn

Hi Dawn,
Sorry for the delay, we're pretty busy around here. I'll try to have something for you in a few days.

Here it is, it is completely vector and high resolution. Let me know what you think and if you need any changes etc.
Palmer, I like the colors and it has a nice conservative look. Could we try something a little more radical color and style wise? Kind of get a range of ideas going even if they don't include the Bible and cross. Conservative definitely describes our church but we could use some shaking up. :D
Anyone else want to give it a shot?
:help: Anyone, please...I'm begging here.
This is my trial contests because I am with a church that has very little money. I was hoping to show them how great Design Outpost contests are and the wide variety of options to chose from so I can then talk them into spending money in some of the other contest areas. I am afraid my experiment is turning out to be a complete bust.

Unfortunately the "wide variety of options" rarely happens in the charity cases forum. It's pretty much just me and a few other designers that take turns. After talking with my wife about this forum, we came to the conclusion that although it was a noble idea, it's just been too stressful to keep it going.
I don't have the time or the talent and I can't get the support from the other designers to help out for free. I've decided it's time to close this forum for good.
We'll do our best to complete the requests that are currently posted.
My sincere thanks to the designers that helped in this forum during the past 8 months. Myself and the contest holders really appreciate it.
Well, thanks anyway. Maybe I can come up with enough cash to do a paying contest. I do love the results I have seen on the other stuff.
God bless you and your wife, Palmer!

Thanks Dawn. I have a request to the designers in their private forum to help you out. We'll see what happens.
You are awesome, Palmer. :D

Hey, Palmer. I have a question for you...last night there were about 3 more designs showing than there are now. Did the update wipe them? :(

Hi Dawn.
Here's my shot at it.
Thanks.

ed--I really like what you have going there. could we remove the glasses though?
dynagirl--yours looks a lot like a conceptual drawing one of the youth gave me. Could we try taking away the gold tab at the bottom of the Bible. And could we maybe extend the bottom of the cross so it makes a circle around the Bible. Then in that circle put "Fellowship Baptist Church of West Windsor, NJ)
Thanks guys. You are really making this fun for me now and I look forward to doing some other work with you in the paying contest areas soon.
4 bibles arranged to form a cross. :)
Just another entry.......

My submission was removed because I am not a design team member. I completely understand that as far as the payed design contests are concerned, but is this not the CHARITY CASES????? How could it be wrong to give freely????????

I thought about letting it be open to all contenders but that would be unfair to the Apprentice team. They are upgraded to the regular team when they have 2 wins. The charity cases count in that total.
In addition, it's very important to me to have the contest holder be treated with the highest respect whether they are in the Charity Cases or on the regular contest forums. Unfortunately some people just don't know how to be kind, considerate, and professional with clients. I'd rather not have some outsider being a representative of this site saying something "hey d00d pick my graffix, they roxxors!!!!!!!"
I also take pride in the quality of the work that's produced here. I don't think that just because a person is asking for a freebie, they shouldn't expect to see sub-standard work.
So as you can see, I've thought about it but I'll keep it this way for now.
I do understand. However, I also read that you were considering or may have actually closed this particular forum down due to lack of participation. That puts you in a tough position, but I completely understand your decision. Thank you for making that clear. It may help for others later that are reading this Forum to also have that information.
I will now retreat and attempt to enter the appropriate way.
