(Admin code added by Palmer - 2AV3854984002964W)
I need a good designer to create a new logo and stationary for my new business. After we have decided on the logo, we will also need:
** header graphic for web site
** business card design
** A4 Letter headed paper
The name of the business is “The Mind-Body Training Company”.
Let me give you an idea of what I do. I publish home study distance learning programs (CDs, DVDs, tapes and books) on the subject of meditation, yoga, NLP and visualization techniques for peak performance. Some points to consider:
** The theme is inner happiness AND success, peak performance
** The design should be clean, professional and elegant.
** I like the colour blue and navy blue.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Header Graphic for web: 100px high by 700px wide at 72dpi (jpg or optimized gif version)
* Letter Headed Paper & Business Cards - open to suggestions on size. Format - high resolution PDF with png (or equivalent) source file for all final versions
This is a simple project for the right designer. We may want the successful bidder to create DVD case inserts, CD labels and other graphics.

I'm attaching some images of postures that I think might look good in the logo. I especially like the file named Jan06 in the attached zip file. Look forward to seeing your ideas. Matt

Wow! Some great looking concepts already. I like the one especially with the yin-yang symbol. Please do see if you can include the posture graphic named Jan 06 with your concepts because that's a posture we teach a lot.
Here is the Questionnaire:
Project Summary:What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
The Mind-Body Training Company
What type of product or service do you offer?
I publish home study distance learning programs (CDs, DVDs, tapes and books) on the subject of meditation, yoga, NLP and visualization techniques for peak performance.
How long have you been in business?
3 years.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Establish a common brand across all my products. Better, more accurate positioning in the mind of my prospects and clients = better market awareness and brand loyalty.
What are your long term goals?
Be the number one mind-body training company in the the UK, US and the world.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
February 22nd
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Interested in health, personal development and spirituality. Typically professionals, 35-50, high percentage women.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
N/A.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
** The design should be clean, professional and elegant. I especially like the posture graphic named Jan06.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
** I like the colour blue and navy blue.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
As above.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
The theme is health/inner happiness AND success, peak performance
What is your tagline or slogan?
Creating The Life You Desire

1) That health/happiness is the foundation of inner and outer success.
2) That since the mind and body are one, personal transformation requires regular training of the mind and body.
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business stationary and incorporated into every product
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
It's difficult to find another company that offers the same offering as us. A very successful company in the "teach meditation" market is http://www.centerpointe.com/. The logo is okay. I'm not keen on the sitting posture. I prefer the standing posture I provided in the file named Jan06.
List competitive URLs if possible
http://www.centerpointe.com/.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Focus on mind-body training
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Mind-Body training for health/happiness and to create the results you desire in your life

Hello All,
I love the concepts I've seen so far. I like the one with the yin yang symbol and the tai-chi posture. It would be GREAT to have a logo with a posture we actually teach.
I'm re-attaching a series of postures to inspire you! I especially like the image of the posture in "Jan06". As you can see in the PDF file named "card_up", we used this posture in the old company logo. I do think one of these postures in the new logo would look fab.
Thanks again for all your creativity and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Hi Fabian,
Thanks for the concept #4, but I don't think this is what I'm looking for. I really want to include the graphic I attached called "Jan06" as this posture is a core part of the work we do. It would be great if you could incorporate this into a few more concepts.

Great concepts #17 and #18 (these were actually votes best by my colleagues) but I don't think this is what I'm looking for. Hi Jennifer,
These concepts are the best I've seen so far. I especially like the fonts of 9, 10 and 13 and I like that you have included one of the postures I sent. I really want to include the graphic I attached called "Jan06" as this posture is a core part of the work we do. It would be great if you could incorporate this into a few more concepts.

Apologies for the delay ... I've taken some time off to reflect.
I would like to award this project to BlueCherryGraphics.
My favourite thus far is Message 12, version 4. I like the fact that you have worked in the yin-yang concept.
Please can we see some variations on this before we choose the final logo.
Thank you,
Matt

Hi Jennifer,
I think we have a winner - number 40.
The original yin-yang symbol has a small spot of white in the black side and small spot of black in the white side to show the underlying unity of the opposites.
Could you please add that to the grey/blue logo (spot of blue on the grey side and spot of grey on the blue side). Also, for the black and white logo, can you make one of the sites white with a black outline.
Thank you,
Matt.

Hi Jennifer,
Actually, now I'm seeing it, I think the way you drew it first time (#40) was best! I do like the black and white version (with the white outline), but please can you remove the spots.
I think then we're ready to do the stationairy. One thing I forgot to include in the project is a header graphic for the web site. What would you propose to charge to add this to the project?
Thank you,
Matt

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for sending the final files. I really like the logo you created.
This site is new to me so I don't know all the ins and outs. However, I originally posted this project to include the stationary design as well.
Please advise.
Matt
Hi Matt,
The minimum for a Logo project is $125, if you wanted the Letterhead and business card added to this project you would have had to meet the minimum for those projects as well. A single sided business card is $65 and the Letterhead is $100. You can request for Jen to do these for you but you will have to make a deposit to Design Outpost and then I will transfer her the funds when she delivers you your files.
Here is a link to our whole Price List http://www.designoutpost.com/pricelist.htm
Please let me know if you have any other questions. Take care

Thanks for the clarification!
Let's proceed with Stationary Package C (Business Card Single Sided, Letterhead, Envelope, Complements Slip).
Jennifer - if you feel you could create a better double-sided business card, please let me know and we'll go for that.
At the minimum, I'll also want a web site header graphic. I may want you to do the web site template as well. Please can you show me some examples of web site templates you've created before.
Please get back to me on the templates and your thoughts on the business card. Also let me know where to send Paypal so we can get started right away.
Thank you,
Matt.
Ok Matt how things work here is you do one project at a time.
First I want to verify with you that you do not want to start another project for the business card and letterhead, you chose to continue working with Jen?
To make your deposit for her to start working on package C Please go to the Start Project Button (second page) and in the miscellaneous box you will put how much you are depositing and click next. I will let her know when I have your deposit so she can start working.
http://www.designoutpost.com/content/view/24/42/1/1/ Link to make your deposit.
Once package C is complete then you can keep working with Jen for a web header (which is Static - Layered PSD - No Coding $75) Then for a web template Jen is able to do a PSD, if you need it coded you may want to run a template project. To see pricing for the template project please see the Price List here http://www.designoutpost.com/pricelist.htm .
Ok let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the clarification...
Since the web site is my highest priority, let's focus just on that for the time being. I'll wait for Jen to come back with some examples of templates she has created, and then I'll decide how to proceed (full template, header only etc).
Thank you,
Matt

Still waiting for some feedback on the web template project. I really like your work on the logo and would like for you to do the template project as well.
