I work with a youth ministry and we're about to begin a series on the purposes of our youth ministry. We're going to highlight each of the 5 purposes in a series that will cover most of the fall. The first one we'll tackle is Fellowship.
So, I'm wanting to start advertising the series with a small poster (probably 11x17) with a slight take off of the movie LOTR-Fellowship of the Ring. Here's my idea.
A dark background, possibly textured. The greenish background to the platinum version of the dvd (here (http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000067DNF.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg)) is nice, but even a flat black might work as well.
But then I'd like for the wording "Fellowship of the King" to be centered. Maybe even with "Fellowship" fairly large and "of the" smaller starting under the "F" in Fellowship and the "King" again larger. Very similar to how it is in the DVD cover I linked.
You've probably seen movie posters with a huge ring emblazoned or engraved with runes. Well, instead of a golden ring, I'd like to see a golden crown of thorns. Metalic would be nice to see, but I'm not sure if that is the right way to go or not. I'd have to see it.
For the font I'd like you to use Ringbearer that can be found at www.dafont.com for free. I tried to upload it but couldn't get it to work.
Along the top, you can put "Coming Soon"
And along the bottom "Starting September 21 @ MYF"
I may want to change up the bottom wording or the date. Not sure.
But again, it's a semi-charity case, but figured it was fairly simple as well. I assume the image can be resized by the printer to fit a small poster (11x17). They said .tiff was best for them too, but jpeg would work, but probably be lower quality. So .tiff would be better.
