Project Summary:

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Every Occasion Rental LLC

What type of product or service do you offer?
Event Rental Equipment and party planning
Tents, tables, chairs, Portable bars w/draft beverage taps attached, linens, Games
Party recommendations, party equipment delivery service, setup/breakdown, Disc jockey, catering, and bar tender contacts

How long have you been in business?
Just starting

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
To serve the industry with the best service possible at reasonable prices with clean professional quality equipment

What are your long term goals?
To grow in the industry

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
ASAP

Audience Profile:

Who would you like to add to your audience?
Anyone 18 – 60 that is planning an event. Events include weddings, Anniversary parties, community days, promotional events, backyard parties, BBQ etc.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:

What type of logo would you like?
Don’t have many ideas as of right now. I’m open to anything. We will be using Tents from this website

www.tentnology.com
Specifically the marquee 20x20 and 20x30

And bars from this site

http://www.kitchenemporium.com/cgi-bin/kitchen/prod/46hs5697-99.html

Specifically the cherry colored one

I don’t want anything relating to clowns, but other than that I’m open to ideas. I like clean cut, not too busy, and if possible try to convey fast reliable service.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Don’t have any colors in mind, although I would like it to be fairly colorful but not cheesy. I don’t want to cater to any specific age group as well, if that helps at all.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

Not really. I like the icon-like pictures of the square or rectangle marquee tent on that site, but it might not fit into a logo well. Let me know your thoughts.

Communication Strategy:

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Fast, Reliable, Clean, Entertaining

What is your tagline or slogan?
Don’t have one as of yet

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

Fast reliable service using clean professional equipment at reasonable rates.

Where will your new logo be used?
Web Site, Business cards, brochures, invoices, side of trucks, trailers, etc.

Competitive Positioning:

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Refer to the links below for the actual logos.

• Always Perfection
• Taylor Rental
• Drakes Rental
• Elite Party Rentals
• Starts Party Rental

I think always perfection is cheesy, Taylor Rental is OK but not really that creative, Drakes Rental is way too original, Elite Party Rentals logo is decent and in the right direction, and party pop is just another form of Elites logo on a red background. Starrs Party Rental is definitely the nicest, it has the creativeness I’m looking for but I think they could have gotten a little more creative.

List competitive URLs if possible

http://www.alwaysperfection.com/

www.taylorrental.com

www.drakesrental.com

http://www.elitepartyrentals.net/

http://www.partypop.com/Vendors/4093874.htm

http://starrsparty.com/

What sets you apart from your competitors?

We have a Variety of professional event rental products that area competitors don’t offer, as well as fast, reliable service, and overall quality of our products/services.

I'll be using the logo on brochures, business cards, invoices, and a website so design it so I can shrink it down and blow it up.

Here's my entry :)
Definitely a good start. Could you fool around with fonts a little bit. I like the balloon idea and the colors are nice. Maybe make the balloon a little more realistic. Maybe change the glare somewhat. I also would like to try and incorporate a tent in the logo to see if fits in nicely. It might be difficult to apply a tent, but lets see what happens. It looks clean, which I like alot, so keep that in mind when editing.

Thanks,
Matt

And with the tent

offbeat,

I really like your ideas with the tent. Looks really nice. I like how clean it looks. Fool around with your first post. I'd like to see maybe some watermarked people in the gray area of the tent. Maybe people dancing or a bartender or something along those lines. Maybe even both if it looks like it would fit nicely. I'm really open to any ideas you guys have as long as it's clean cut. Be creative!

offbeat,

maybe you could also incorporate the balloon idea with the O in occasion.

thanks,

i don't know if i like the style of that tent. Remember i'm going to be using the marquee from that website so i'd like the tents to look similar. Other than that I like what you've done. I was thinking.....Maybe it would look nice if you wrapped Occasion under Every and then the tent area would be almost to the right of the every. Also, Maybe there could be somthing goin on underneath the tent. To show that it's festive etc... let me know your ideas.

I can't use the balloon because that's an element that Mark introduced. I'll play around with the people in the tent. My first reaction is that it's going to disturb the cleanliness of the logo, but I'll give it a go. Thanks.

offbeat,

I like the icons. The only one I don't like quite as much as the others is the heart... I wonder if we can come up with something else to represent an event. Maybe a graudation cap? I like the icons above Every Occasion. I would like a little more color to it. Play with the fonts on Every Occasion and maybe make the Rental and the LLC slightly more obvious, but not too much. Show some fonts that you think would look best for such a logo.

Will do. Wasn't sure what events best represented your business, so any input is always appreciated.

offebat,

I'm sorry to keep changing my mind like this, but do you think there might be a way to put that logo on the flatbed of a truck. Almost like you're delivering the logo to someone. Here is example of the type of truck i'm talking about, but with a flatbed instead of a box

I really like where you're headed! It looks sharp. I like the tent on top. It seems like it doesn't look as nice smaller and in black and white.. It kinda looks less like a tent that way. See what you can do with the first one. Maybe there is a way you can have Every Occasion Rental LLC running through the tent. spice er up a little and add some touches that you think would look good.

Thanks,
Matt

I want to the logo in post 26. I would like to make the Rental LLC area a little more visible. I would also like to make the logo a little more elegant, although I like the colors you might have to change the tone of them slightly to make take that shape. I am not completely sure about the Every Occasion in red. Can i change that color once the logo is sent to me? Jeff, I also want to thank you for being extremely accomodating with all the revisions i've been asking for.
