Hi Everyone!

I'm back for another round.

This time I need a 2 sided 'Guarantee Certificate' designed. It will be printed in full color both sides, full bleed. The back doesn't need to have anything too fancy on it.

The .doc attachment has all of the wording and format set out for you and I've added a picture of a certificate to give you an idea of what I need.

I'd like a realistic gold seal as well (like in the pic) with "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" written in it.

I've added a picture of our stationary so you can see what our company colors and design looks like.

I'm going to be using www.overnightprints.com for the printing. They have brochure templates on their site if you need to know the bleed sizes.

I'm looking forward to your designs. :)

Cheers - Glenn

Hi Grafissimo,

Thanks for getting us started! Much appreciated.

Unfortunately, it's not what we're looking for. It's kind of hard to read and doesn't match any of our corporate colors - sorry. (Please see the stationary.jpg for our colors)

I really need the layout to be exactly the same as what I've layed out in the word document and the design to be done around it.

I also need it to have a lighter look like the example I've shown. More white (or lighter) space.

Thanks again though.

Everyone: I've added an upgraded word file to give you a better idea of what I need. I've added where I want the seal (with ribbons) and a fake signature to show why I need that space.

Keep them coming!

Sorry.......yes. I'll take it.

Hi Glenn, I'm LutFi.

I've checked your attachment images and the text.

Before we start designing your certificate, I have some questions first:

1. You said that want to use "realistic gold seal" like in the attachment sample. It will require emboss (in 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed) and special hot foil ink. Usually the printing production price using emboss and hot foil are different (more expensive than common stationary). Also we have to check first whether www.overnightprints.com can print special order like that.
• The solution if they can't do it, we still can "recreate the foil color and emboss effect" and still print at that place using common printing technique, and the result will be on flat surface (not emboss). Is it okay for you?

2. Could you provide us your Woodsmith logo in EPS format?

I have a good idea for your certificate.
Please give us little time to do this.
Thank you.

Hi LutFi

Thanks for your response. Yes, I'd like the second option you listed, to "recreate the foil color and emboss effect" on a flat printing surface (not embossed).

I'll upload my logo for you as well.

Cheers - Glenn

Hi Glenn, this is my design:

The concept as general are:
• I start little research from your logo, stationary and view tour website. The new logo and stationery are have modern, exclusive, and sophisticated look. Based on that, I design this certificate to accommodate the whole system (new logo, stationary) as integrated new brand identity.
• I took high quality wood as design element to give an accent also to blend natural beauty in this design. Wipe effect (like on the top left of the letterhead) is not used in this certificate because hard crisp edge also symbolize the clear commitment in the certificate that the Woodsmith only to give the best product and services to their valuable customer.
• Background color taken from the lightest color of the logo, to give exclusivity tone also to ease manual writing and signing as well.
• Font used on "Certificate of Guarantee" is Zapfino, that have elegant also reflect modern & elegant. Emboss "effect" is used to represent exclusivity.
• Font used on other text are Adobe Caslon Pro family that also have elegant and sophisticated character.
• Using watermark logo on the center, the color also based from logo.
• I modify the signature placement in the center since the signer is one person. And put the seal on the top right.

• The back of the certificate is also based on the same concept.

• As we agreed, all emboss and foil seal effect will be print as it is, on a flat printing surface (will not be use emboss / real foil seal).

That's all. I hope you like it.
Thank you.
LutFi.

Hi LutFi,

Thank you very much for your design. There's a lot about it that I really like. I love the font's you used - very clean and classy especially the "Certificate of Guarantee" font. I love the watermark of my logo, very nice.

I've been sitting here looking at my stationary and new website (not the one up at the moment) and realized that even though I love your design, I want it to look closer to what I already have so it all looks very similar. So there's a few changes I'd like you to make if you could please.

I'll include a mockup of what I mean below for you:

The most obvious difference is the white background with the brown and red bars at the bottom. This makes it look without a doubt part of our company stationary.

Please keep the fonts you have but just adjust the spacing and layout a little.

It needs some more space between the top 3 lines (My company name, "Certificate of Guarantee" and "100% No Hassle...") and the content where it starts with "We guarantee..."

Please include the bullets like I've shown to seperate the 2 parts of our guarantee and have the 2 parts indented on both sides like I've shown.

I'd like where I put my name and the signature underneath to be on the left hand side and the seal on the right.

With this more understated look, I think the seal and the ribbons are what will make this certificate really "pop". I love the look of the ribbon you designed, I'd just like it smaller and to have 2 like I've shown.

Could the seal also be a little more realistic like this one. I absolutely love the look of this seal. I love the depth of it and all the different elements, it's very classy looking. It's also a bit more bronzed and darker (dirty looking) than the gold you have. Is this possible? I really like the scroll with the word "Quality" in this one, could we incorporate this and put the 100% where the big star is? With the right shading on the seal and ribbons this can look very realistic even printed flat.

On the backside I'd like it to be very understated and simple like below:

The color is the dark brown from my logo and the font for the copy is 'Myriad Web' like on all the rest of my stationary. The "Not-So-Fine Print" can be a fancier font to your liking.

I'd like the bullets also like shown with the indentations.

Thank you so much LutFi. I'm looking forward to see what you can do, especially with the seal.

Cheers - Glenn :)

Here are the revisions.
In the sample mock up, there's no space for date when the signing. I arrange it little bit below.

The back "Not-So-Fine Print" I still use the same font as in front for consistency, also I add color from logo on that.
Sorry, for the back text, I don't have the exact "Myriad Web", I only have "Myriad" and I used it in this revision.

Hi LutFi,

Thank you so much! It's awesome, I love the seal, very well done. Exactly what I wanted

I have just a couple of minor tweaks to the layout and we're done.

On the front side I would like some more white space at the top. Could we lower my company name a little and make the font a tad smaller and then move everything from the top to "Our Guarantee is divided into the following two parts" down a little.

So it looks more like this:

Also could you replace the "-" with a "," after "dust free claim" in the second bulleted paragraph.

And lastly, in the last paragraph starting with "In Witness Whereof" could you add "President of" before my company name and then make the line for the date a little longer if theres room. You may need to shorten the line for my name a bit which is ok.

Other than that the front is done!

On the back just one small change. The third bullet shouldn't be there. That paragraph is actually joined to the one above it. Maybe, after removing the bullet, we could move the paragraph up a little closer so it looks like they're both together more.

With those changes it'll be perfect!

Cheers - Glenn

Hi LutFi,

I love it!!! You're definitely the winner. Thank you sooo much.

The only thing I'd like changed is to have the seal a little lighter like on your previous post, this on seems a few shades darker. You don't have to post it here, you can just send me the files with the change.

Would it be possible to get the seal on it's own as a seperate file as well? That way I could use it on my website too.

Thanks again - Glenn
