Hi there,
I am looking for a logo for SpellingPRO.com. This will offer a service similair to spellchecker.net but also a downloadable software product (e.g. something that could become part of these forums).
I am looking for something professional looking. While I am wary of saying the word "simple" we want something clean looking.
Idea 1: The words Spelling and Pro, separated by an icon that could be a checkmark, ABC, or anything to do with language
Idea 2: Or the same icon but with Spelling and Pro on two lines to the right
or any suggestions you can come up with.
Thank you for your time :)
what does it look like when you highlight text?

It dosen't really work like that, it is a web spell checker, not something that is in a windows program.

Sorry Eagle, not quite right - it is too simple (clip art arrow/text) needs to have more of a logo feel.
Raja, I quite like that, but not sure if it is spellchecky enough.

Hi padders,
Hope that works,

Hypnosis, that looks nice but I'd like something more logo'ish, i.e can be used for letters, stationary, etc. (Like Raja's entry.)

dynagirl, can you please explain if and how that relates to spell checking? :) I think I can see the letters S and P somewhere in there, but it's very vague. I'm looking for something that would immediately be associated with spell checking and/or language.
Please let me know your ideas about this one:

The lines are the spellchecker swooshing through your webpage to make corrections and the star means "everything's correct!" (like a teacher putting a star on your paper if everything was right). It's a little abstract, but it's also a clean, brandable design and I thought it would read as well as a checkmark.

Something simple but still eye catching...

Taldo,
Sorry, not quite right. Also a tad worried about the use of drop shadow, I don't think that is good for logos.

zing, I am sorry it is just not enough of a logo. The text does not look very good, the tick idea might work but it needs to be more than what is currently is.
Taldo, the same problem really, the text (Arial?) just dosen't look logo style, more like what I type in my word processor - the icons just not right.
What we are looking for is something like Raja's design, thats a very nice logo, but just with a greater emphasis on spell checking.
Howdy DoodY!
I'll opt out of the academic associations. I feel, in your best intrest, a professional approach may assume better identity and brandibility. 3 stylised S's, each representsing the letters A , B , C
by the way, when can I get a copy of that software, as the above post indicates, I desperately need it!

:)
Another version, please let me know what you think.
PS: The symbol is a target representing accuracy of spelling, trying to reach your targets ect...
