We rent tents, tables, chairs, portable bars equipped with draft beverage equipment, Jockey boxes, backyard games (volley ball, quoits, etc.) Party recommendations, party equipment delivery service, setup/breakdown, Disc jockey and entertainment, catering, and bar tender contacts.

Anyone 18 – 60 that is planning an event. Events include weddings, Anniversary parties, community days, promotional events, backyard parties, BBQ etc.

I like the navigation bars to be across the top and down the left hand side, as well as having the same links that are on the top such as home, about us, contact us, etc.. listed on the bottom as well.

I think always perfection is cheesy, Taylor Rental is OK but not really that creative, Drakes Rental is way too original, Elite Party Rentals logo is decent and in the right direction, and party pop is just another form of Elites logo on a red background. Starrs Party Rental is definitely the nicest, it has the creativeness I’m looking for but I think they could have gotten a little more creative. I like their website, but lets try to be a little more creative so we can give the customers a nice image of what they can expect. Trying to convey, Clean, fast, professional equipment at reasonable rates.

I have some images you can use for the website, but I don’t want it limited to them. I would like to have high resolution pictures. I would like there to be pictures of tents and party equipment being used in nice looking backyards. Kids possibly in the background playing games (quoits, volleyball, etc.)

I would like HTML Coded with all images etc. I would like as much as possible to get the site rolling ASAP


Are there any other comments/specific ideas we should keep in mind while designing your project?

I would like clean cut, professional looking, not catering to any specific group of people. I like the idea of clean backyard with families playin in the background and equipment in the setting. You can use your imagination. I understand this is a website template, but I would also like it to be as editable as possible.

It's a good start. I like the general format. I don't like the two gray bars on either side of the page. I like the peaks idea in the background of the navigation bar, but I would like to use that somewhere else throughout the page and make the navigation bar a little different. Maybe you could do a high res. photo there and remove that one from the middle of the body. That picture is actually off of another website, so I don't want to use it as a main theme, but more as an example. I was wondering if it is possible to take this picture

and take the background out of it and put another background on it and maybe use that somewhere. the other thing I don't like is the star in the specials section...it's barely visible, but I would rather it be something different related to parties. REALLY like the idea of the icons for each link....and as well as the specials section i like how they are hover over. I would prefer to stay away from fooling with stuff outside of the logo.. you can cut in around the logo for the nav bar, but I don't really like the idea of having it look like there is another tent outside of the logo.


Don't feel discouraged, the first designer is always the the most critiqued. Thanks for your efforts, and keep em comin.

I updated all points except the header image behind the top menu.
Still looking for a nice high resolution photo to fit there or a photo, to get the background from, for the tent image you provided.

Ok I'm liking what I see. Here is what I like from every idea lets see who can put it all together and make the Ultimate package!

Matude: (Likes) Icons for each link as well as the special section hover over with the tent as well as the placement of the large tent picture. Second design looked plain but maybe your right about putting a photo in the contact area.

Aliska: (Likes) Fading white into clear Welcome over the Large tent picture as well as the Special Offers under that picture really pops out at you with the red with yellow ! Star. Also like the services info box! Also like the two colors really stands out!

Heathersmith: (Likes) Super clean site easy to work just needs to "POP" or "Stand Out" I think. Really like the clean box with the logo. Same for you with the two color design and the "Every Occasion" is worth celebrating is SUPER!! LOVE IT!!

Let me know if you guys need anything. Only other thing I was maybe thinking is the phone number on the home page so it stands out at you when you visit the site. Another thing is I really like how Matude and Aliska put the logo over the navigation bar down the left hand side.

I like the place of the number in the Every 03.jpg. I wanted to know if you could maybe do more designing in the background. I don't necessarily like the salmon color so maybe we could fool with that little bit. I like the news and specials sections, but could we maybe add icons to the links? We are now going to be using Eureka party tents. you can find examples at:

I don't know if this is possible but i was alo wondering if the designers can also desing an availability checker and maybe an internal page without the news, and specials sections.

I also want to stress not only the fun times party theme but the delivery, set-up and breakdown of tents and party equipment. So maybe we can change the picture on the landing page to something expressing things more of that nature. I know it's difficult without me providing you with pictures, but I don't have any yet since the business isn't up and running.

I like your initial thoughts, and that picture is in the right direction. I don't know if I like the slogan and the people holding champange glasses. I like the volley ball net, but i would prefer no trees around the tent. I would also like more artistic stuff in header/navigation bar. I don't like the way the log sits on the nav bar...i would like it to be more seamless almost like it is part of the header instead of the header being cut in aruond it. I also think the specials and the news section need to stand out a little more.. Don't like that orange color so much. You're welcome to use any of your own ideas if you think they would add to the site. Think clean, professional, and elegant I also think I like the slogan "We Rent for Every Event" I'd alos like a designed availability checker that basically lists our products and you can check the ones that you want and it will tell you if they are available for the date you enter.

I definitely like the latest revisions. I would like you to change the package icon to look more like a package, the table icon to look more like a round table. I like the overlaid pictures, but i would like to change that picture in the background. That specific tent picture was more to show the produc we would be renting. I'm looking for more of a backyard party picture or something like that....

We have to work on the availability checker...i'm thinking it would be more effective if we made that an entirely separate page with a product list and a box to enter qty etc.

I really like how you raised the logo...looks good, but i noticed a circled shadow around it... I would like to stick to the logo that i posted that has the shading on the canopy part of the logo...but i like the raised logo good.

The links would be cool if they were rollover...I don't know if they are already.

one more thing. I kinda would like to see what it would look like if the logo was moved upwards into the blue area slightly so it isn't so close to the links...I want the customer to be able to recognize the name right off the bat. I think it might be a problem that the balloon icon is blue and the background is too so maybe you could try and make the white swirls in the background a little more prominant.

Other than that I really like what i'm seeing.

I don't know if we are supposed to be moved to the revisions forum or not, but in the meantime I will tell you what I want changed.

Main Template:

1. Bring the logo back down instead of having the blue piece between the tent canopy and the icons in the logo.

2. Raise the logo again...I think it is called embossed or something along those lines, but its the look of it in post 18.

3. Make the packages icon a blue outline instead of solid blue colored
sides. I would also like you to make the entertainment icon shining im some way.

4. change the "welcome to every occasion rental llc" to all red text

5. change the frame around the main content window where the main picture is, the special offers and the attention section to a soft blue color with possibly some texture.

6. I would like the tabular links to also be listed and centered at the bottom of the page with vertical separators but with just the txt and the little icons (home, about us, contact us, etc...) you can move the copyright below the links centered as well


[B]Internal Page:

1. Almost identical to the landing page except without the specials and news section. I would like to keep the main content frame(soft blue with texture) but leave it blank inside so i can list products/services.

Availability Checker:

1. You don't really have to get crazy with this, just make it editable so i can add things to it. I would like to use the internal page template for this. I am picturing a list of our products with qty boxes next to them so the customer can enter in the qty of the product that they want and check the availability of them.

If you want you can just create two sections that I can just copy and duplicate so you don't have to spend time on this. I was thinking a Title ("Tables" "Chairs" "Entertainment" etc..) then a horizontal rule to spearate the title and then the product names and qty boxes and then the next section titled with a list and the check avail. button at the bottom of the page.

I would like it coded. I want to use CSS coding if possible and Div based. If you have any reccomendations be sure to let us know. I am going to be using dreamweaver to edit the site, which I am new to so try to make it as user friendly as possible.
