[Project Complete] Mar 15 - New Logo Mortgage Brokerage (Smart Home Funding) - $140

Hello Everyone!

I need a great looking logo for a new mortgage company I am starting. The name of the company is Smart Home Funding. I am looking for something clean and straight-forward. I would like to have the following elements incorporated into the design:

1: The name SMART HOME FUNDING
2: Tagline: Helping You Make Smart Decisions
3: Clean simple image....of a house

** Attached are samples of logo designs which I really like the style of. Please use them as inspiration for this logo.

Colors: Attached is a basic color group that I would like to use.

** Here is a twist...I will have a "Latin/Hispanic" division as part of the mortgage company. I need an alternate to the logo designed to represent this "Latino Division"

** Final Output: The logo needs to be in vector format.

** Project Due: March 15th

OffbeatDesign.....thank you very much for being the first to submit something. I really, really appreciate it. The design parameters have changed:

1: The initial concept I uploaded is no longer an option (my partner nixed that idea).
2: Attached is a new color group we would like to use.
3: I attached a few sample logos that I really like .... and would like everyone to use as inspiration.

We are looking to use a house image in a creative (and appropriate way) with the company name and tagline.

If anyone has any questions, please feel to let me know. Again, thank you OffbeatDesign for your work......I would love to see something from you under these new guidelines.

We no longer want the lightbulb in the design. Also, please don't reference the design I originally uploaded to the project. Please use the current attached images as inspiration. Also use the following:

1: The name SMART HOME FUNDING

Hi everyone.....sorry for the delay in posting. I want to again thank everyone who has submitted their work to this project. At this point there is no clear "leader" in the designs just yet. In seperate posts, I will ask each designer to make a few simple changes to their designs. Hopefully, with these changes one of the designs will stand out.

I would also invite any new designers to submit their entry as well. I would love to see some new ideas. Thank you again everyone.

Could you have the top house image run across the entire length of "Smart Home Funding". The V part of the house could go over "Smart". Also, please remove the star. I like the graphic style of the house.

I am intrigued by your submission....especially the house graphic. The key to the winning logo will be the choice of house graphic, and how it is incorporated into the text. I really like the abstract aspect of your house image.

I need a little more time to digest your submission, and any changes I might suggest.

Logoholik....thanks for responding to my invite. I have been coming to Design Outpost for several months. After viewing my logo projects, I have become a fan of your work.

Unfortunately, I am not "feeling" the submissions you currently have....especially the house image. I would love for you to provide another submission. I went through the portfolio on your website. There are several of your logos which represent the style I am looking for:

1: Used PC Outlet logo: like the words stacked, with house on top in that graphic style.

2: Total Clean Service: like the fonts; maybe incorporate a house into the wording like you did in "total"; like the line graphic seperating the name from the tagline.

3: Handbags.org: Love the graphic style of the handbag.

Hopefully this helps, and you able to provide more submissions.

I've had a chance to think about your submissions. I really like how you stacked the words. Not to keen on the choice for the side graphics. Could you possibly put a graphic on top of "Smart" instead. Specifically, I like the house roof graphic you used on your logo for "Team Gavin" real estate agent, that I saw on your portfolio. I'm not sure if that person is using that graphic you created for them.....but if it is okay, could you use that graphic (or something very similar). Please use our color group for the graphic. We may be on to something with these changes....thank you very much for your time and effort.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, that is the logo they settled on, so I cannot use that graphic or anything too similar, but I will try something in the same style.

Thank you for your additional submissions. You are very much on the right track with your submission on post #29. Could you stack "SMART" on top of "HOME FUNDING". The word smart should cover the same space (length) as "home funding". Also, for now you can drop the tagline.

Also, maybe we should play with the colors. Maybe "smart" should be green, and "home funding" should be in blue.

I can't say enough for the great participation by all of the designers. Thanks all!! Here are some comments on the recent submissions:

Offbeat: Submission on message #31 is not quite what we are looking for. It just doesn't seem to stand out...fonts are too skinny. Also, submission on message #39 is not what we are looking to convey. Submission on message #40 is too modern looking. I do appreciate your efforts.

Freetime: Thank you for the revised submission. We are still having discussions about your logo. It is in the running. Need a little more time to discuss.

Logoholik: Thank you as well for the revised submission. I tend to agree with you about it being less elegant...but I'm not sure we are going for an elegant look. Again, we need a little more time to discuss your submissions. It is in the running as well.

BlueCherryGraphics: Your stacked logo is also in the running. Waiting to see the variation with the house graphic on the top.

Hi Bojan:

I really have one change I would like to work on. As part of our company we have a Hispanic division. I need to have another variation of the same logo. I need a clever way to incorporate the name of the Hispanic division into the main name and logo. The name is "Grupo Latino". For this version, you can take out the tagline. It would be nice if we could come up with a clever way to incorporate "Grupo Latino".

Also, I just wanted to make sure that the final file will be in Illustrator.

That design works perfectly....one change, there is only 1 "P" in "Grupo"...sorry about that.
