Hi everyone!
Here is the deal, this is phase one of three. I'm doing logo first then a contest for business cards, letterhead, stationary, then a contest for the site template.
My company name is Real Values, LLC we are a residential real estate appraisal company in Phoenix, Arizona.
The website is going to be www.4realvalues.com, as realvalues.com is taken for the time being. I dont think I want to include the "4" in the logo (unless you really think I should).
COLORS:
The colors used are going to be the primary colors for our site, I can't really tell you what colors to use, as I've seen many different designs that look good with different color. I know what colors I DO NOT want, those are green and yellow (or pink).
STYLE:
I want the site to be three things..Hi-tec, business and have a warm feeling to it. The purpose of the site, is to attract new clients, and show off our up to speed on tecnology. The primary target of our site is going to be lenders, so something that helps them think we can help then close their loans, and feel trusted. Hopefully this will also help you out on choosing colors. We are looking for something that will give us auto recognition when the logo is seen, even if our name was not included, although it will be. I can tell you I am tired of seening the same old scrible outline of a house, with the text in it, so please DONT do that! I'm not saying dont use a house, but make it unique if you do!
From what I have seen in the design gallery, what most caught my eye was a lot of the 3D logo and the 2D's that had a clean crisp look to them. I'm looking for clean, easy to understand and eye grabbing logo. As the contest progresses, I can tell you what I like and dont.
I'm hoping to get this logo in both vector and 300dpi.
If there is anything else that will help you before you start designing, let me know, I'll be checking up regularly.
oh yeah, This contest will go on for as long as needed, but plan to wrap it up in no longer than 3 weeks, so take your time and be creative! :tup:

We are getting really close to what I want, so I am going to put an end date of 09/15/2003
So far these are the logos I like the best.
Coredesign - I like the first two designs, actually more than the update you did with the first one, could you change the colors of the first design to the dark blue others are using so I can see what it would look like with that color. Same with your second design.

ElKootcho - Your little house house I do like. I dont like how far apart the text is or the purplish blue, could you put the text closer and change the colors so its not so bland.

2square- I like your latest attempts! Could I see them with reverse colors, ie; remove the blue background and make the text blue instead. I also like the house in the middle of the letters that you did! More color options please!

All the others not mentioned are great designs, as said before, you guys have the some of the most talent i've seen at one spot, but these above are what I want, and should give a good feeling for ideas.
The logo should just say "Real Values" and under that real estate appraisal, residential not needed!
