First, check out http://interprep.com/irg/clients/2007-04.htm ... We are planning to email this to our clients once a month.
* Each monthly issue will have 3-4 stories, plus a monthly sales tip.
* Each story, and the sales tip, will have an accompanying photo. A caption with each photo would be nice. (In the demo I included just one photo. In the template you create feel free to include stock photos to fill out your design.)
* The sample is amateurish. I threw it together to give you an idea of where we wanted to go. I need it to be slicker and more professional. Rounded corners, perhaps the light use of icons, etc.
* The logo at the top is probably something we don't want to touch, though I'm open to suggestions.
* I am not stuck on the blue background color. I like it, but if you have a better idea that's great.
* I am knowledgeable enough that each month I will be able to replace the text and photos you use in the sample template. I plan to change the stories and photos and email the newsletter out using something like Outlook. (The email client list will be just a couple hundred a month.)
* The design should allow me to add or remove a story if necessary. So if one month I want to run 3 stories and sales tip I can. If the next month I want 2 stories and a sales tip I can simple delete one section of the template. This is something I'm very capable of doing.
* Something I recently read online is that CSS for email newsletters should be embedded in the page.
I would fill out the questionnaire that DesignOutpost suggests, but what you see is what we want to do. It's not a full website... just a one-page email newsletter.
I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have!
