Company Details
1a) Name of Company
Company name is Cerebrosoft. However, B*Gallery is our only product so the site should be branded primarily with the B*Gallery name.
1b)Company Tag Line or slogan:
"powerful image publishing software"
1c) Do you have a company logo?
Just the small "Cerebrosoft" logo seen at the bottom of our existing home page. This should stay small in the new site, and be limited to appearing in a footer area. We don't have a B*Gallery logo.
1d) Do you have a corporate visual identity
No.
1e) What is the nature of your business?: Briefly describe your products or services:
We sell B*Gallery, an image publishing application that creates web galleries. The look and feel of the generated web gallery is template driven and highly customizable. A user can continue adding to a gallery over the years as they accumulate more photos.
1f) Who is your target market? Who are you hoping to reach with your site?
B*Gallery is aimed at hobbyists/amateur and pro photographers that have a lot of content they would like to publish. B*Gallery runs on Win32, OS X, and Linux.
Website Details
1b) Do you have an existing website? If so, what is the URL?
Yes, http://b-gallery.biz
2b) IMPORTANT: Please list at least 3 URLs (web addresses) of high quality sites that you like the look of.
(I like the first three the best...)
http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/
http://www.cocoatech.com/pf4/
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/
http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/default.mspx
3b) What colors or color schemes would you like?
I'm open on this, since we don't have a corporate color scheme.
4b) List the Navigation links for your Site:
Download, Purchase, Support, More Info, Tutorials, Sample Galleries.
5b) What type of look are you trying to achieve? (e.g. clean, high-tech, conservative, warm, flashy, etc.)
clean & professional, but not like a 3-piece suit (stale and boring- think Apple, not IBM). I would like to convey a sense of creativity as well... something that gives the sense of photography and lots of photos being published, shared, etc. We also run on Vista and soon, OS X 10.5, so we're new and fresh and want to convey this.
6b) Please provide the addresses of competitors' sites, if possible:
http://tinyurl.com/qgoj6 (Corel)
http://tinyurl.com/pw5v (Adobe)
http://www.webgallerywizard.com/
7b) Do you have any images for use in the design of your site?
I can provide screenshots from the new version of our product, currently in beta, if a designer feels they'd like to work with them. Alternately I can provide a link to download the beta version of our software. Otherwise I don't think I have any imagery worth saving. We have a nice application icon but it really isn't website material (even though it is used on our existing home page.) Also, we might be having a "Box Shot" developed, so you could use a stock box shot as a placeholder. However if you want to build in a box shot it would have to be done carefully or else I think we risk looking like a site selling a mid 90's shareware product.
Deadlines and Deliverables
1c) What is the deadline for the design of your project?
April 2, 2007.
2c) What is required breakdown of the files you require our designers to supply you with on finalization of your project?
I would like a template HTML page & images, including an "inside" page.
Thanks, I look forward to working with you.
